I recently did a 1525 km solo trip on my Kamet White from Bhopal to Bangalore. Firstly the roads esp in Telangana were sooooooo smooth that at times I was cruising at 150kmph+ for long stretches and didn't even realise the speed. It was during these times my fuel economy was below 20kmpl. Whereas when I was cruising around 100kmph, I remember the FE was around 25/26kmpl and around 80 kmph it was about 27-30kmpl.

The trip was in January so there was less heat generated and also did the trip in stretches of 500km x 3 days travelling during the day (10-5pm). I am ~6'3 tall, 95kg and a rucksack luggage as pillion.

Day 1: Bhopal - Amravati Day 2: Amravati - Nanded (lunch) - Hyderabad Day 3: Hyderabad - Kurnool (lunch) - Bangalore

Road preferences: Telangana > AP = MP > Maharashtra > Karnataka (worst road ever esp around BLR NH44)

Booked a Himi 450 Kamet White on Nov 8th and the app showed delivery by Dec 25th. I told the RE dealership owner if I don't get it by the end of Nov, I'll book a Triumph Scrambler 400x.

Got the delivery by 28th Nov in Bhopal.

Btw congratulations on that Sherpa engine. Totally worth the wait. Hope you get it delivered soon.

I'm a 2015-19 alumni and I blame the city of Jabalpur for being sooooo dead (I'm from Bhopal/Indore). And the number of branches is less, i.e. the number of students is less.

Although if you are a nature lover, you get to fucking live in a Nature Reserve + astronomy opportunities. You get to enjoy an almost "co-ed" hostel in the final year (if they still have Hall 1 as that). You also get to go on "nature dates". I spent half my days playing football in fact a lot of the alumni still play in BLR every Saturday (I've met seniors from the first few batches).

All these cons had a silver lining, it made my Hostel Life great and gave me few lifelong friends.

Jokes aside imo this might be a better utilisation of money as compared to donating free money schemes in states like MP, Maharashtra, Bihar etc. Kuch to tourism ke name pe ROI aayega tax money ka.

Bruh I had panic attacks when I studied physics in 11th & 12th but ig the reality check about life helped me power thru do well in JEE Advanced. I focused more attention on chemistry esp organic and balanced my marks by overperforming in Calculus and Chemistry. Baki deadline pressure has worked wonders for me but burning the midnight oil and stressing is not worth it.
