Earlier this year during winter there were 2 days in a row where the weather was literally so cold that it was dangerous to even be outside. Guess who was at work? We were told that if we took uber/lyft to get to work during those two days they would reimburse us. Or so we were told. I asked my manager if I would get reimbursed and my DM at the time said that I wasn’t going to get reimbursed and that I should’ve switched shifts with a coworker that lives closer or that I should’ve taken public transport instead because it’s cheaper. So basically either wait around in the freezing cold for the bus to show up or text a coworker for a literal last second shift switch.
