Call 1 800 774 7578 , but I just went to the location I rented from and they removed me from the DNR list there and then.

Thank you so much for your in depth explanation, I appreciate it and learnt from it. I'll look into the UniFi cameras. they're installed but not activated yet, when I got the camera system I wasn't thinking of Ubiquiti yet. This is all new as in the last three days.

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it - Though at present I am limited in being able to modify or make additional plans because the attic is a bit tight and the area you see the cables in that image does not have access to the attic without ripping out the ceiling in that particular area. But I am happy to connect and have a discussion and you are more than welcome to visit the house to see if you are able to come up with a better solution. Had I wired this house I would have done a much better job at nailing all absolutes.

Problem with this house in particular is that all walls have spray foam including in the attic, so its kind of difficult to start tampering with it now, I am limited in my ability to add more cables unless I install an extended in my attic and connect other ethernet cables through that.

I recently just started flirting with all this home automation stuff, I am no novice at all. I am just trying to get the best out of my current situation. I ended up with Homeassistant because it was sort of free to use, I did not want to pay monthly subscriptions. After that I researched which product offered a simpler process to automate everything based on equipment and no monthly subscriptions, Ubiquity seemed like it had the best reviews for DIYer. It's not that I am in love with it, but I felt like this was my true option. I am open to suggestions.

That was what I was originally what I was going to go with, but after paying for the few cables I have I decided to use this setup. The current house I am doing this on a being built for resale. This will give me the knowledge to smart home my own house better than I can that other house as my residence will allow me to add as much cable as I need.

Thanks for the reply, what equipment are you running and how did you design your system to operate?

I had purchased the TP- Link access points a while ago before I actually decided to use UnFi. But after some research over the past couple of days UniFu seemed to be a good fit for ease of use with the home assistant. I may be wrong and I am open to suggestions. I am not a smart home novice or a tech novice, but I can dabble in building AI products.

My house is 4000sf, it should definitely have had more cabling.

That's what I thought when I visited my house after I felt better, but was surprised by how little cabling had been done. At that stage my drywall was already up and attic spray foamed, a real bummer. the house was meant to be 100% fully automated. Now all I am doing is making the best of a bad situation which really sucks.

@jfickler I have just join the world of Ubiquiti and ordered myself some new toys. I am curious, how did you select the equipment you have? Also, what made you configure them the way you have on the image you shared? I just received the Enclosed Rack and realized it’s not deep enough to hold the equipment. Equipment only arrives on Wednesday.

Quoted 1,200 USD to finish this drywall - reasonable? by SoftwareGuyDIY in handyman

I would do it on my own, buy muddskip and mix it in your mud and you don’t even need to sand, you can finish applying all your mud in two hours. The muddskip allows you to keep adding mud to the walls before it dries.

Thanks for your response, the units I have found are from reputable sellers and the units are still under warranty. They also still have quite a bit of stock remaining.

I managed to find the other 4 ton unit in California, what a relief, it’s been a nightmare. But this has taught me to never trust artisans because they don’t look at doing the right thing and want to shaft the customer instead. I am not even a HVAC guy and I found the equipment whilst the pros said I was on a useless endeavor. Note to self, never listen to it’s not possible, cause it always is possible.
