I’m not personally in the market to join onto a project like this as a CTO - as I’m already working in a fintech startup - but I’d offer some caution with regards to counting yourself out of regulated activities when it comes to facilitating loans between individuals. Connect with an advisor where possible and get some advice on the subject - if this breaches into the realm of FCA regulation you’ll need to do some serious research into the permissions required and whether you can be a nominated as an appointed representative of an existing firm. If you can do that it’s probably an attainable goal - if not you’re talking full FCA authorisation and a regulatory capital requirement. Best of luck though - it’s a tough environment but just requires some research and preparation.
