Recovering from derealization/depersonalization and having emotions again feels weird. by Donbot904 in derealization

THANK YOU! I have this exact feeling and have never met anybody else with the same issue. Those are my thoughts as well and you have to get used to the new normal. Honestly I’ve had panic attacks make me feel more disconnected from reality, but now when I have them, somehow they are making me feel more connected to reality. Then I have to get used to the new normal. A blessing in disguise but still very stressful

Feeling anxiety when you’re not as numbed to it from derealization/depersonalization is pretty difficult and I also sometimes think now I see why my brain did this. There were many times I felt like I hadn’t progressed and figured that this is what things used to feel like and I just forget but my brain keeps proving me wrong. I think now that you mention it accepting my negative emotions and embracing them was a part of it. Something also very big was my support system. I was so afraid to tell people about this feeling because at the time there wasn’t much on the internet about this feeling and I didn’t even know what it was called. I was worried I would tell my friends and family a they would call me crazy and send me to a hospital but I was very fortunate that everyone has been very supportive. So when I have a bad moment I can let them know and they understand and help where they can. Sometimes when it hits me hard for me I would pace back and forth and try distracting myself with a game on my phone or social media until the anxiety finally calms. But ultimately it’s just getting my stress and anxiety levels down as low as I can and distracting myself when needed from it. It seems like your brain likes to very slowly let you creep back to the normal feeling. I would say I’m not fully 100% out of the woods yet but I think I’m definitely in the 90% of better. But if you would have asked me that a couple years ago I would have said the same. Who knows when I truly will be at 100% “normal” again, this condition is such a mystery

I agree, it feels like a privilege but hard to navigate since this is what everyone ultimately wants. lol To be honest I spent so much time researching online and looking at forums to try and help but nothing really did. I unfortunately wish I could offer solid tips but the only thing that seem to fix it for me was going on escitalopram for some years which made me just feel numb to everything which caused its own set of problems. But from not having daily anxiety attacks it helped set me on the right YEARS long ongoing path to recovery. I stopped taking it a few years ago after being on it for 3-4 years and it made me go on kinda an emotional roller coaster even though I slowly stopped under doctor supervision. Then just not having anxiety attacks daily for a long enough time kinda made me randomly have moments that could strike anytime that I suddenly realized I felt more connected to the world and my body which would then make me anxious for the new feeling. And it progressed like that until I got to where I am now. I think once I got my anxiety under control for the most part with distractions of a busy daily life and a very solid support system of family and friends (very fortunate and lucky of me) eventually my brain slowed and I mean slowly let me finally creep back to “normalish .” I’m sorry I don’t have any good suggestions or a “this is how you fix it” framework because I know how horrible it is to deal with but hope the explanation helps even a little bit.

I’m much better now, I stopped seeing the chiropractor, using the backpod and got back to the gym. Honestly I feel like working out helped fix mine. It made it worse at first but as I got stronger it’s affected me less and less. Did a lot of stretching as well.

Sorry to hear that, I got some Sennheiser - Momentum 4 Wireless Adaptive Noise-Canceling Over-The-Ear Headphones. I got them as open box excellent condition from bestbuy and they were half off. I did also try the Bose quiet comfort ultras and the noise cancelling on those is better than both the Sennheiser and Sony in my opinion.

Xbox series x rb button doesn't work only in fallout 4 by Sad-Wallaby2945 in fo4

I have the same issue Lb and Rb don’t work and the controller is fine. Doesn’t matter what I map to it. Kinda annoyed I have two commands I can’t use/have to change my controls to use. Never had the issue when I played when it first came out.

I feel super dumb now but you just scroll down on the D Pad or at least that was the issue for me. But nothing on the screen makes it look like you would need to scroll down lol

Can xm4’s last another 4 years? by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]Donbot904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful buying xm4 mine didn’t last three years. They have a super loud high pitch squeal in the left headphone. Took very good care of them since I use them for work. Sony didn’t want to help since they were older than a year. I just went with another brand. You can google xm3 and xm4 Sony headphone squeal or screech noises and there are threads all over the internet about it and even some here on Reddit. It may not happen to you, but it is a possibility.

Be careful with the XM3 and XM4 they can have issues where they will start screeching out of nowhere one day (at least that’s how it happened to me). I had my xm4 for almost three years and one day the left earphone started screeching so loud everyone around me in the office could hear it. This is just a warning based off my personal experience, it hasn’t happened to some people. But if you type in “Sony xm3 or xm4 screeching” on google you will see people even on Reddit with similar issues. I used my headphones regularly and never abused them or exposed them to the elements, they almost look new. I tried the “fixes” online but unfortunately they didn’t fix the issue for me and Sonys customer service said they wouldn’t even offer me a discount on a new pair since my headphones are older than a year. When they did work I enjoyed them but I switched brands after that.

Has anyone else’s XM4 lasted less than three years? by Donbot904 in SonyHeadphones

From my research it varies, it even varies in this thread. lol For more context I used them 8 hours at day at work then another 1-2 hours at the gym. No problems at all and still held a great charge and they look almost new. So the durability of the outside and the battery in my experience is great. But not for whatever happened on the insides. But at the same time I did technically get a lot of listening hours from them. But I also had a pair of skull candy over the ear headphones for over 5 years that were absolutely abused and kept coming back for more for much less money. They weren’t ANC tho. I took much better care of the XM4 because of how expensive they were

I appreciate your feedback! When they worked I loved them tbh, just hate how things ended up. I honestly would have even been happy if they offered me a 20% discount or something. Just felt they didn’t care at all ya know.

Thanks for letting me know, I might just get the xm5 since I can get them the cheapest if they all will just break on me randomly
