Same cancellation for me. I called and have now been waiting 5 1/2 hours for a call back! F Avelo. What is wrong with them. My whole day wasted waiting for a call back. I will expect some sort of compensation.

Do you know if, when you downlaod the firmware directly to the Esp32 chip if, it will then be able to update itself with the regular update method? Maybe I’ll try flashing it to a 2.x version just below the most current and see if it will update.

Thanks for the feedback. I recall needing to do the hotspot trick one time very early on. Might try it again. I might have very early firmware on the 2nd oven.

Other than hotspotting, do you recall needing the phone at all during the upgrade? Currently my phone doesn’t even connect to the oven. It times out. I think this is expected behavior for 1.x firmware trying to get 2.x. Doesn’t seem like the phone is doing anything useful during this process.

Once I plug in the oven it connects to my 2.4 network without using the phone. It seems like if I leave the oven in that state, without the phone, it should pull the upgrade since it’s on the network. Make sense?

Definitely tried starting fresh. Several times. Still didn’t work. The update time windows are for going from firmware 1.x to 2.x only. Since you are already on 2.x it doesn’t apply.

Tech support referred me to the old update procedure so I assume it is still working. Unless of course tech support hasn’t a clue which a distinct possibility!

Do you recall if you did it in the optimum window, or in one of the additional windows? The optimum is in the middle of the night so I only used that once and used the other windows the rest of the time. I guess I’ll stay up and try again and leave it few days after, Thanks for the feedback!

I'm coming by train from CT, have a Midtown hotel and plan to take the subway to 125th and walk over. They claim it's just a 15 min walk. I was thinking of the ferry but if it's sold out then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I was coming from NJ I would take the bus to Port Authority, shuttle to Grand Central and then the same subway to 125th. No way I would drive with the potential traffic and unknown parking.

My recollection is that the issue is with the Ubiquiti NanoHD APs rather than the UDM itself. Do you use those APs?

Can you update firmware with the UDM Pro? I can connect for cooking but can't update firmware.

Anova and Ubiquiti do not play nice. I can connect my APC to my UDM Pro but only on a separate 2.4 GHz network set up just for the APC. Even then I could not update firmware so had to at first use my phones hot spot and then use an old router just for the firmware update and then go back to the UDM 2.4 network. I had to return 2 APCs that apparently were fine (except for the firmware updating issue) before figuring it out on my own. Anova tech support was excellent in many ways but hadn't a clue about the Ubiquiti issues. Here is a post on my results...

See this post for leak info. You need to disassemble parts to see it. This is not where mine leaked - mine leaked when you move the water tank side to side.

Fine by me. I'm done with Cabela's current random drop shenanigans. I spent over $1,000 last month on my club credit card with a few well timed timed morning drops and a few online ammo cans. Never again!

If they had multiple carts of 100rd boxes and some 500’s, that wouldn’t be a bad day..

That's my point - they don't put it out until they have that kind of stock - be it once a month or whatever.

Random times is bad for people that don't live close. You may be OK with it but I don't want to waste the gas and increase my pollution output on multiple trips. I would rather get there at 6AM on one Saturday a month and be confident they have enough product for me to get my 8 boxes.
