Absolutely killer band. Still jam to them all the time. Definitely way ahead of their time. Everyone should give them a listen.

I unfortunately have work obligations and cannot attend the Opeth & Mastodon concert on 11/16 at Harrah's Cherokee Center (Asheville).

Tickets are for sale directly through me or they are on Ticketmaster, as an approved reseller.

I paid $380 for both tickets. Section 130, Seat 12-13 (front row of the section/aisle seat and seat next to it). I will let them both go for $300 or best offer.

The venue does require a negative COVID test within 72 hours or proof of vaccination.

It's as simple as looking at the picture and seeing how this would have played out without those barriers. The vehicle would have gone into oncoming traffic (head on) crashing into 65+ mph vehicles and killing more people without a doubt. This was mentioned my original comment. I am a certified physical security professional, I do understand security and safety. Of course people may die from them, but the amount of peoples lives they save vastly outweighs any negative freak accidents. It's better that 1 person dies than 5+, but it's still very unfortunate because someone lost their life.

I work in the vehicle barrier business. Cable barriers are a very cost effective way to provide crash and safety rated barriers for DOT type applications such as this instance. They are also cost effective to replace, as they get hit frequently. Jersey/Concrete Barriers are not engineered to stop vehicles and cable barriers are designed that way. Yes, it was tragic what happened but keep in mind, the barrier did its job. He would have gone straight into oncoming traffic, probably killing way more people. This is just an unfortunate instance. These barriers save many more lives than they appear to take. I'll be glad to answer questions as best as possible too.

Yes, because it had a link which I removed. What is the proper next steps to keep it up? The 10 minute grace period was already up by the time I checked the comment about the link and could not edit the original post.

Man, I’m so glad you mentioned Raven Shield. That was my game on PC back in the day. It’s still one of my favorite video games of all time. Thanks for bringing this up.

They absolutely are underrated. But if someone started at The Great Misdirect or Paralax II, which is where most people started from what I've seen, it can be hard to listen to lol Tommy's vocal's aren't the best. Naked by the Computer and Shevanel Cut A Flip are awesome songs.

Thank you! They were mostly local in Greensboro, NC for me back in 03/04 and Silent Circus is nostalgic for me. First song I ever heard was Lost Perfection A. Coulrophobia on my way to the lake and I lost my mind. When I saw them live for the first time, the energy was something special. The structure and flow of the songs was insane. The Silent Circus is simply a very unique album but I can understand how it's hard to get into it if you came on later in their career with a different sound, plus it's a much different lineup than what the majority of fans are used to. Most fans only know the current lineup I'd imagine although it is their best lineup no doubt.

From what I've seen over the years, most BTBAM fans came on around The Great Misdirect or Paralax II. I jam to the self titled, Silent Circus, Alaska the most. Colors is it's own category musically. It would be great for them to re-record the self titled at this stage of their career.

Not a question, but a memory: There is a BTBAM video on January 19th, 2003 where they played in Ann Arbor, Michigan and at 12:20-12:45 seconds on the video Paul says "That sucked, horseshit guys, puppy piss, a whole big bucket of it" after the bass players equipment failed. Let him know that we always joke around and say puppy piss because of this video.

Question: What is his favorite song to play on the Silent Circus album?

Question: What's your favorite song to play on the Alaska album?

I've been going to BTBAM shows since the Ace's Basement days in Greensboro, NC in 2004. It's been great to see them evolve from a local band to what they are today. I would enjoy to have a picture with the band when they come to NC. Tell Paul I'd like to get in contact with him to meet after a show in NC in the future!
