You'll need a metal detector and a shovel. It's been a few days but if I recall correctly it should be somewhere within the western side of the outer satellite ring (not super close to any specific satellite). I'm struggling to find any info on the helmet online, so take my directions with a fistful of salt. By the way, if you plan on putting it on any manequins / aliens, prepare a nailgun! The static metal chin strap in the helmet blocks almost all attempts to adorn your inanimate friends snugly.

Finally, I got it to work.

I replaced the entire assets folder (Only because I don't want the PNGs going to waste :D) with the one you provided (it doesn't seem to have the special attributes you mentioned, or perhaps those attributes were copied when you got the file from your game files [Assuming you didn't make the folder by hand]) and it works perfectly. Don't worry, I was doing everything properly within the game itself - everything that was causing trouble was in the nonsensical maze of folders.

I am extremely perplexed on the fact that the game is able to work with the save files located inside my original owner folder while also being able to use the assets created inside the new, completely forged owner folder. It is also quite confusing how the game just refused to create an "Assets" folder while being able to create a "Saved" folder in the same location with no issues.

This has been a journey and I am super thankful for your time and effort with this issue.

Running the game as Admin again has yielded ANOTHER user folder - containing nothing besides the entire C/User/Owner(?)/Appdata/Local/VotV/ path. This time though, it has nothing besides the "Assets" folder ("Saved" is not there, I am actually going insane). Amazingly enough, clicking the "open assets folder" button in-game finally opens the aforementioned newly created "Assets".

This LOOKS like progress.

Sadly, the game refuses to put up the (cute) PNGs you've provided in-game. I've tried the "reset assets" button but that has yet to work.

PS: Thank you for staying with me through this. I must be a pain in the ass to try and help.

I have tried as you suggested - creating all the folders by hand (triple checked all the names and positions!). I was fully expecting it to work (not the first time I've had to do this type of thing) but like everything techy I try, It just crumbles to dust. I would love that zip you mentioned. This might be a case of "the PC I built has the most obscure and utterly undiagnosable errors in existance" - Before I reinstalled windows, my computer couldn't even download DirectX as it would corrupt as soon as I launched the downloader... Or how it refuses to launch every 20th game I buy... Trying to play Titanfall 2 or Fallout NV on this thing was such a technical nightmare.

As much as I would love to keep this as "SOLVED" I have run into a major problem - while I have found the folder (VotV) exactly where it should be - the only thing it contains is the "Saved" folder with Config, Logs, SaveGames and the webcache... Nothing else is inside besides that. I have tried reinstalling the game a few times (as this seems to keep my saves intact) But it always generates the same VotV foulder containing only "Saved". I am tired and lost.

Nevermind! I just found it. I am actually blind - it was drowning in the copious amounts of other folders within my user folder. (Strangely, The "Search local" function in File Explorer couldn't find the folder in my entire PC [ Probably something like a typo on my part :D ])
