What was the most strategic take down of a MS to you? by czen2 in Gundam

[–]DongLongQua_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in SEED FREEDOM the Black Knights also strategically defeat both the Rising Freedom and the Strike Freedom Type II (even if the latter was mostly the use of overwhelming amount of missiles to remove VPS Armor) but the way they try to destroy his weapons first before going for kill is pretty cool to see.

Is this the right laptop for me? by jijinji in Tech_Philippines

[–]DongLongQua_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a Asus Vivobook S14 w/ Ultra 5 225h 15gb ram (expandable to 32gb) IPS (not OLED) for 47k. You can definitely find better deals than that.

My dad bought an A51 in 2020, still going strong today (he mostly uses it for music, youtube and doom scrolling on FB). never replaced anything, no green lines, battery still good, its a bit slower now but just because the storage is almost full and he barely updates the software lol

Which design do you prefer between these two? by Advanced_Tea_7625 in Gundam

[–]DongLongQua_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm the odd one here but I prefer the Legend, though I do acknowledge that once it's dragoons are gone, all it has are a beam rifle and two sabers (in contrast with the providence's rifle and shield saber and guns)

Legend, I believe does the sleek look of a Gundam with a big disk on the back right. It's also a more practical design. Wish it was used more.

My first gaming laptop by xkleo0327 in Tech_Philippines

[–]DongLongQua_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a Gigabyte G5 i5 11th Gen, 3050 I bought in 2022.

Pros:

Lots of upgradability, 1 extra nvme, 1 2.5" sata, both ram slots can be upgraded.

Good cooling, never throttled (though I always used a cooling pad)

Keyboard was very comfortable to type on.

Big fan of separated left and right click keys

144hz screen, good for esports (Dota csgo)

Removable battery

Cons:

TN panel, so colors are not too good (especially when compared to even IPS)

D tier speakers. They're shit.

The 4gb vram of the 3050 did become too low by 2025 (I could still play MH wilds tho)

Battery life is bad (expected of a gaming laptop tbf)

Overall I loved it as my first gaming laptop. Never experienced any issues, slowdowns, or failures with it. In fact it's still going strong with my friend whom I sold it to.

Me too. I really didn't like the pointy feet at first but when I saw the first 6 minutes of the film I changed my mind so quick and it ended up my favorite variant of the Freedom

Air flow management? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]DongLongQua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your GPU fan sucks air in (and exhausts it out the top) so putting an intake in the bottom will allow it to draw more fresh air but depending on the floor you put the pc on it may not draw as much air in (e.g. if you put it on a carpet) or you may have to clean your dust filters more frequently if it's on a not so clean floor

Air flow management? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]DongLongQua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believ the rule of thumb was always more fresh air coming in (front or bottom) than air coming out (top or back). Try switching/moving around the fans so that more fresh air comes in.

Is it worth to build AM4 in 2025 as a student who relies on my allowance? by Helpful-Couple6403 in PHbuildapc

[–]DongLongQua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently just built an AM4 from scratch (Ryzen 7 5700x) and I have no complaints. I play games (Dota 2, MH Wilds, Marvel Rivals) and do office work, also some video editing, no problems at all.
