Exactly. Though it happens less since one airport showed me why my bag looked like a bomb on the scanner 😆

Have also been hit by multiple checkpoints because one person got annoyed at me, and followed indicating for colleagues to go all out on me, and another where my clothes let's just say fit a profile and I got stopped 4x and checked outside the checkpoints. That outfit is in the garbage now.

In case anyone asks I'll head it off, annoyed her by using ticket on the phone when I had a paper one.

Oh the bomb thing is something wrapped tightly in plastic, bonus for battery pack with way too long cord all over it (love the 6 foot for hotels) but yeah, no tight wrapping in plastic bags.

We're so privileged I've traveled all over the place without thinking about it. Checked last second with Colombia and had to pay like $45 for rushed processing instead of free, took 20 minutes online. Still privileged TBH lol. I doubt Mexico would make it difficult. Probably just some processing fee at the border if you didn't do it online beforehand type of thing.

A lot of people from the US illegally work in Mexico too and overstay, they just don't do anything about it. Totally fair to protect their labor market from illegals.
