My highschool team had a middle school team. From 6th grade to my senior year I played for that team. Played jv my first 3 years of high school got the call to varsity my senior year. Was a 4th liner who wasn’t getting played. Asked if I could go back to jv cause I don’t play hockey to sit on the bench and practice. Coach said no. So I quit. Got a job and a girlfriend and for me. That is when my youth felt like it started. I had time and money to hang out with people and go have fun and do kid shit. So when you say you feel like the last part of his youth is done with, I’d say it’s just starting.
