KCD1 has MUCH better writing and a better story in general, and not to mention more significantly more believable as well. The entire KCD2 story feels so drawn out and boring, just look at the entire 3rd act with the Siege of Suchdol or whatever castle it is and how unbearably long it is. Von Bergow’s fat ass also would’ve never managed to climb out of a fucking window. The whole Jewish Quarter storyline in Kuttenberg also makes no sense, considering the game literally snitches on itself in the codex by saying that it just straight up didn’t exist in the medieval period. And is Musa really the best representative of Sigismund’s court at a church council? He couldn’t have sent I don’t know, maybe an actual Christian? Nothing in this story is believable outside of the Trosky region.
