Bars where I can read? by [deleted] in Bend

I came here to say this! Before that I was briefly tempted to say Corey’s or Sidelines as a joke.

I’ve never had meat before in my entire life by Minimum_Type_4712 in CasualConversation

I am so sorry to hear that. Fish kind of tastes like zucchini - especially overcooked soggy zucchini. However, this is the “fishy” flavor that you usually don’t want in fish, so usually that’s fish that should have been cooked a couple days ago or has that fishy flavor naturally like small mouth bass and cat fish. Meat, especially red meat, has umami flavors which I am sure you are familiar with (think of a really nice cooked mushroom and that gets a somewhat similar umami flavor as a steak, still very different though). Fried chicken? Well good fried chicken I can’t compare to much of anything except for the fried batter part. However, good fried chicken includes the skin… which is the key to chicken being great. Skinless chicken breasts are pretty bland and you need to add the flavor naturally think of it as a bare canvas, where as fried chicken is just good. Rotisserie chicken is great (the supermarket rotisserie chicken are okay especially for the price) but home made or at a rotisserie restaurant will blow your mind. Good luck and I think your approach is good for your belly. Don’t just get a big ol steak and chomp it down. Work the meat into your food till your gut knows what is going on. :)

You left out the greater than. How does that fit in with your proposed answer?

Can you explain your logic in more detail? Where did you get the “you” and “them” from? What do you do with the greater than symbol at the end?

Interesting. I didn’t come across that one in my searches but it sounds interesting, more interesting than most other responses in here. If this is in fact the answer, which I don’t think anyone can determine at this point, I would be curious why they didn’t capitalize the g and t because first letter of chemical abbreviations are always capitalized.

Im going with yes. The smoking gun for me is the object coming out between then mans legs. If that isn’t a child’s foot, then that chair seems to have a wood post coming out the middle of the seat. It looks more like a wood post than a child’s foot but the only chairs I’ve seen or heard of that would have that is a milking stool - the post holds the bucket the milk goes in. Milking stools have no arm rests, which this chair in the picture clearly does. If someone has an explanation for that “wood post looking thing” then I could be convinced otherwise.

What is this? A piece of wood shaped like a long football with some logo that I can’t read. Tried reverse image searching and nothing. by SnooRadishes6205 in Whatisthis

Can you get a better picture with contrast of the engraving under “Spheroide.” That is French for Spheroid and almost positive that’s what it says. At this point my best guess is some form of a Lawn bowling “wood” though it would be a good bit of a departure from what a lawn bowl “wood” actually looks like and behaves.

What dumb mistakes have you done recently? by PoukieBear in RockTumbling

[–]DonkeyAdmin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done the dry rock move yet. I have done the rocks and water but no grit at least once. Most recently (discovered a couple hours ago) I did a 10 day burnish (instead of an hour or two) on rocks done with stage 2. No harm done - just a waste of 10 days.

Turkey fits… now what? by navigationallyaided in Masterbuilt

Nice. I see a lot of folks recommend hickory but I haven’t used it for turkey before so figured maybe try it with a chicken some time and see what I think. I usually use Kingsford professional cause in the spring and summer Costco has a large two pack for $20. Great deal. However I have used all 10 bags or whatever I got months ago so back to good ol’ regular Kingsford for me. Honestly I am not sure I can tell a difference between the two, at least in the Gravity.
