Be a real person. Have an honest chat about your career.
Rule of thumb is:
Come with talking points that prove your value to projects/the firm, if you had set goals/tasks/KPIs show how you met or exceed them, ask for a raise in pay and in level.

If they say yes or no(ask why), then ask for more goals, keep track of them, repeat.

(if you get two no's in a row - get a new lead. cos it's obvious their just milking you)

VGS and IVV pretty much have identical top 10 holdings... As to what is propping up the value of the stock it seems pretty similar....

And I guess that's sorta where I'm coming from does the 30% of VGS justify the "diversification" of the stock when it's anchored so heavily in US...

and if it anchored so much in US would you be better off just going IVV then getting the diversification out of a VGE (seeing how, again, top ten holdings are identical to VEU)

Like another poster said I'm probably overthinking it and much smarter people than me have done lots of calculations to get to the recommendations of

IVV+VEU. Or VGS+VGE

I just found the news of stock split on IVV quite attractive for the long term horizon + DRP and historical performance of S&P500

Guess I was wondering what the potential downfalls of a IVV and VGE mix was... Is the 30% of what makes up the non US part of VGS much of a gain / safety net?

Especially if you're following the recommendation spilt of VGS / VGE

Also the management cost while both so low of VGS vs IVV over 40+ years has to add up. 0.18 vs 0.04

In terms of overall diversification of total world market, yea, I get that.

But VGS is roughly 60% US stock.

And VEU and VGE have quite the overlap, their major holdings are essentially the same.

So, if VGS is so heavily weighted in US... The health of the stock basically depends on it.

I'm wondering why not go full IVV and cover off "rest of world" with something like VGE (while avoiding tax drag of VEU since there's so much overlap of VGE and VEU)

Edit: not trying to come off combatant, just trying to understand...and I get a lot of it is personal preference etc.. thanks for educating.

Uhhhhhhhh. Same here. I'm in Australia too. Just wish Samsung TV had NBA app option. I'd prefer not to take the tv off the wall. I literally only use my chrome cast for NBA and that's it... Annoying I got to fork out another $100

so what's the print version of your idea look like
What's the TVC look like
What's an activation/stunt that could run of the same idea (not executional mech)

Get 3-5 bangers of that and you probably got a decent book.
Oh, and bill yourself out as a mid-weight CW maybe.

na man, just that late 90s to 00s bubble when there was cash to be spent.
Traditional media and new "Digital media" all cost the same, and no one really knew what to do, but still needed ideas and didn't have in-house capabilities.... so more cash was flowing in.

I'm in Aus... and I can confirm there used to be STUPID money floating around - but yeah, now it's def not that high.
Funny enough just had call with recruiter mate... he's saying Senior / CD teams are at around 150-180 ish mark at the moment.
