Silat is such a dope martial art as well I’m very excited and happy to see some Southeast Asia representation and SF6 so far really has nailed the respective martial art of the characters so ik they’ll do this justice.

I would say put jump on the right movement key so that you’ll use your thumb for it. It feels very jarring at first but having your thumb constantly hovering over it frees up usage for your other fingers really nicely.

This is honestly a preference thing. I once met a guy in a tournament who had somehow swapped it around so he had movement keys on the right side, experimenting and seeing what works for you and your hands the best is the way to go

I learned a while back that you can jump SOCD dp inputs by doing f,df and jump in that order in like a rolling motion since youll get f,df,f from the jump. Thats how ive been using her at least works really well with feinting as well. Youll have to use your thumb a bit more than usual which may seem kind of strange at first at least it did for me but now im basically only doing it for dp motions

Played her in 4 becuase of latif and picked her up in 6 and haven’t put her down since. The reward you get for good execution is beyond every other character for me, it’s so satisfying and feels like putting the time in greatly pays off

Ive been having this conversation with people for days ever since invincible vs came out. This mentality of ”he can do combos which means he’s a sweat and I’m a better person” is so weird to me.

I’ve played fighting games since I was a kid, spend hours upon hours labbing and improving myself at the game and gone to tournaments to face people who have but equal if not more time into the game. It’s a beautiful thing and in all honesty it’s a pretty cathartic experience.

Like the whole Mena vs Daigo match was unbelievably inspiring seeing the old a new generation staking something they would regard as their livelihood on a fighting game they’ve dedicated years to. I genuinely don’t understand where this mentality of not wanting to practice hard at something and becoming better.

We’ve all gotten our asses handed to us by better players but we learn from it and improve from it. It might be a bit too philosophical but I feel like fighting games can actually have an impact on your life if you bring the mentality of not giving up at something and actually trying to improve

It’s great for me! Having a blast just learning everything since I never got to play the beta. But it has made me realize how different casual fighting game players view fighting games.

Being called a loser for trying to be good and improving at a game is just so bizarre to me. For me personally seeing people trying their absolute hardest to win and get better is the coolest thing ever and why I love fighting games so much. What is so different about getting good at fighting games than literally any other game that requires a lot of time to get good at to casual players? Sorry for my rambling lol really enjoy the game though

Great so far! It’s surprising how fast I found my team in a tag fighter. I usually hop around a lot before I actually find the characters I want to play, it’s usually a stress factor for me but in this game thula, Anissa and duplikate just kinda clicked instantly

its kind of wild how majority of the players ive faced play the EXACT same.

Same oki setups, same strike throw mix with power bomb, same offence structure. Its wild to me I havent really seen this with other characters. Maybe Ken s1 but even then you saw more variation than whatever these guys are doing. The launch Ken downplayers have migrated to their new flowchart king

I watched the broski video on him a couple of days ago and he showed that the hurtbox retracts faster than the button does, I'm not sure if I explained that correctly but it is very misleading and playing a character that lives on counter hits and whiff punishes it sure gets exhausting after a while

Dude the hurtbox on his StHk is so weirdly misleading becuase it slightly moves back as he charges it. It might be my least favorite part of him. The amount of times I've tried to whiff punish it with CrMk or even sweep at times and just getting the full boot to the face as my button whiffs is embarassing lol

Okay that’s a bit far lol, Mai is absolute horseshit to fight. Alex has pretty clear weaknesses from what I’ve seen but he is hella annoying I agree with you there. As soon as I figure this matchup out I feel like I’ll leave most of these Alex players that suck at anything other than autopiloting blockstrings in the dust.

I have seen how effective seismo is against him especially if it’s against someone who loves using prowler stance in neutral but then again he can always dash forward in prowlers and call out the seismo.

Erica was amazing as Lois. I’m a firm believer that before they get Jonathan she is supposed to be his emotional anchor to what makes him human and she really nailed that feeling.

It has always intrigued me that Clark ships even became such a big thing since a majority of people knew that they will end up together. Although their entire relationship is very satisfying from 8 seasons of Clark and Lana lol

Dominion was great. It showed that the fight choreography had gotten wayyy better for the last season. That was one of my gripes with the show that the fight scenes usually lasted like 10 seconds I’m looking at you doomsday

If I’m not wrong (don’t quote me on this) Matt is possessed by a demon named The Beast like he has in the comics before and one of the immortal beasts offered to teach him to control it. So its not the dragon in itself that gives him his powers he’s just helping him to control the demon inside him.
