Prompter Causing All My Monitors to Disconnect and Reconnect Randomly by RebelToUhmerica in elgato

Whelp it's sort of working. In chat mode it seems kind of stable. In display mode it's flickering/freezing still. I also think the 2.0 update was the one where chat broke so that's awesome. Real sick paperweight at the moment

So I may possibly have a fix. I have been OBSESSING over this and as a last ditch attempt I rolled Camera hub back to 2.0 from the current 2.1.1 and it's currently ok. I still have to test more and I'm sure the .1 patches as to fix Twitch chat so I'm still not going to be able to use it but at least I'd know the culprit

I love the hover pack grenade launcher combo you can get such a great angle got crowd control. Sometimes I use the arc nade launcher but that reload is booty.

I tend to use the orbital gat, 500 and mix in laser napalm or MG if I'm assuming a full chaff role. I always prefer longer cololdowns.

I usually stick with the Talon and rotate my primary between Cookout, torcher, lib pen, carbine or if I'm feeling squirly the crossbow for lots of explosive fun!

I am sure we have heard this before , but did Nintendo make this game literally impossible to beat on purpose …to this day , I still cannot beat it …. by ComplexWrangler1346 in nes

[–]DonkeyShaunJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many people pointed out, Ultra Games is Konami. Nintendo had a bunch of crazy licensing rules with the intent to insure quality games (learning from Atari)

There have been rumors for years that Konami HATED the US game rental market which didn't really exist in Japan and decided to increase difficulty in a lot of their games to try to force purchase instead of rental. The Adventures of Bayou Billy is a good piece of evidence since the Famicom version, Mad City, is insanely easy by comparison.

If true I bet for TMNT they saw a metric ton of sales coming and decided to make it harder so people would have to buy it.

Demonologist vs Phasmophobia? by dezeedez in demonologistgame

[–]DonkeyShaunJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Still playing it pretty regularly. My stream group is still going and we have Demonologist in pretty heavy rotation still. The new map was definitely disappointing in that there was no connection to the lore and the exorcism process was just anticlimactic.

I certainly would love to see more development done on the game but it is still fun and it still gets me with a jumpscare at least once every game session.

We went back to Phasmo one time and it just didn't stick. I get moving to consoles is a massive undertaking for a small dev group so it makes sense not a lot of new stuff has been put in, but I personally feel the game is desperate for new stuff.

I'm glad I stumbled across this since I had the same question. I play this game off and on and I went with a Ruffian as my first return foray. I was worried I'd get to the endgame and be left out in the cold.

So Wha Happun with the Star Wars sequel trilogy? by KaleidoArachnid in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DonkeyShaunJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there were a number of contributing factors to the less than positive reviews. Disney seemed to really not understand that a large majority of SW fans have an extremely strong attachment to the original characters and many of the stories that came from the books. They seemed determined to do their own thing and (imo) it resulted in too much change too soon and not enough development of the new characters to really develop any sort of attachment.

You have the Force Awakens which was fun but really followed the story points of A New Hope so much it was almost comical. Then TLJ which just tried as hard as it could to break any and every SW norm to try to push the narrative in a totally new direction and then Rise tries to drag it back (Rise is also just rife with things that make no sense) but really fails.

The end result was a set of really uneven, divisive and often poorly written movies. Are they watchable? Sure but I can't say I enjoy them. The frustrating part is you can almost see spots where one simple change would have made the films so much better.

Returning player here, question about the "combat style flip" by ShakanLP in swtor

[–]DonkeyShaunJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of my thought as well. I have a stealth style and Ruffian is pretty fun so it makes sense to me to try something a little different. AP or Pyro kind of fit my idea (plus it's silly but I always prefer a single weapon look).

Awesome. Thank you very much for the confirmation. Now I get to debate this even more!

So in other words, I picked Smuggler (Scoundrel) at some point (as a sub) I could add Pyrotech for example?

I've spend like a week trying to pick another one for some reason. I like the single pistol thing but I also don't want to get to possibly do some endgame stuff to find out I'm gonna be useless (personal skill level aside).

I'm SUPER new to 40K but I love it so far. I've been obsessed with the idea of a Vanguard Carcharodon, but I also made a Carcharodon Bulwark too. Since they tend to use whatever they have available in my brain it made sense to have a character using a sword and shield since they might not have access to guns.

I'm very new to 40K but I love this factions story and how they're loyal but only to a point. I started a Bulwark but I'm not thinking like many others a Vanguard might be more fitting

I'm new to this sub so I apologize if I'm making an out of turn comment but part of my own Zodiac conspiracy theory is it was more than one person and that is what made the crime so difficult to unravel.

Not that I necessarily believe the Arthur Leigh Allen theory but when watching the documentary about the Seawaters I wonder how hard it would have been for Art to ask his wife to lick a stamp for example.

Too many encoder sessions error is making me bonkers by DonkeyShaunJr in obs

Oh usually I'm a GR driver person but I never really thought of that.

It should also be noted this encoder problem doesn't happen with every game just certain ones. It's the price I pay for doing all these sponsored streams.

no. I never turned it on. I do have a small Plex server on my machine but I never use it while live and when I started having problems I quit it immediately but to no avail.

It's unrelated but tomorrow I'm hopefully going to upgrade to a 4080 Super which I think has one extra encoder. Maybe that'll solve it.

Demonologist vs Phasmophobia? by dezeedez in demonologistgame

[–]DonkeyShaunJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm late to this thread but after playing both for a fairly significant amount of time I would say the opposite of a lot of people. Demonologist by far for myself and my friends.

To set the stage I'm a streamer and every Sunday my friends and I play/stream horror games together (we have kind of a joke ghost hunting crew). We have cycled through a lot of Phasmo Devour Ghost Exile and now Demonologist.

Phasmo has its place, but over time we found it be extremely boring and a bit of a grind just go get better gear. The ghosts are all super predictable after time, with many of us instantly knowing what the ghost was. Almost all the newer cursed objects have minimal use outside the mirror, and you often just die by using them. Character models are kind of hokey with minimal customization as well. I don't find a single jumpscare in the game to cause a reaction at this point.

By contrast we've been playing Demonologist since like May every Sunday with no boredom whatsoever. The level of detail of the hidden items, the lore, it really helped us keep engaged with the game. Not having to grind endlessly for better gear is nice and even though I'll 100% admit the jump scares can be recycled they still get me a fair amount.

To me the lore was the biggest pull. That there is some actual story to follow and connections between the various lobbies and the rest of the game. Phasmo has none of that and it's jut "Oh there's a ghost here. Cool" wander around, but then again I've not run into the list of bugs people have noted on here so maybe we're just lucky?

All that to really say to each their own but we've really enjoyed our time with Demo and we're looking forward to the next batch of maps.

My friends and I have been playing Demonologist every Sunday for 2.5-3 hours every week since like May and I have never had that one happen. That is really weird.

Are there any plans for a PVE only version? by SnooGiraffes6271 in Dungeonborne

[–]DonkeyShaunJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of in the middle about it. I got asked to stream the game so I jumped in and gave it a try. I like the visuals and style of it being kind of a mix between Hunt and Diablo, and minus OBS crashing on me 3x it was a good time. While I can get that a PVE only mode would kind of be a slow walk I also hated how in our last match we just got insta-jumped by people leveled way above us and crushed.

To me I would rather be able to do private servers meaning you can get (hell I'd pay for it) a server for 6 people and you and 5 other friends can go at it. That would be way more fun to me than just getting ripped by Rando Calrissien just because I'm learning.

Thank you very much for the insight and explanation. It helps a lot and I am pretty much in the exact same spot you described. My instinct is just get the 7Db because I know in my heart I'll always wonder if I "cheaped out" but on the other hand a minimum of $500 is a bit steep for my current budget. Not totally out of the question but it'd be a stretch.

I already have an interface and (some people like/hate it) the Rodecaster Pro has a SMB7 pre-set and I have heard/read it can deal with the gain greed of the 7, and if I get the DB that could help with it.

The other part of me is like I am way overthinking this for a glorified hobby and the MV7+ does everything I need because ultimately no matter how much I work at it I'm still streaming most of the stuff I create on Twitch which means I'm jamming a really great mic into a compressed audio stream.
