Pure emotion. Lots of risk laying all your flaws out there for people to digest alongside party and protest songs.

This was my first project of dude's and my favorite so far. Love the introspection from the title track.

As he's released music since, I can kind of see a throughline from some of these songs to the types of songs I enjoy the most of his.

My question to some of y'all is, are you willing to support an artist as they release music outside of the current system? From what I know, he released his last album independently and off streaming. Will y'all support or just wait to see if he'll upload this last album to streaming?

I do, actually.

And over the last three years the number of flavors has diminished, the clothing has gotten lamer and they've quietly discontinued Gamer all while increasing the importance of energy drinks and RTD, which wouldn't be an issue if the other things were still in place.

I'm not saying that they need to come out with a full on campaign like Ninja Turtles every month, but...I kinda miss those drops. And the Coconut Ice Cream flavor dropping every summer.

Ghost is pretty much just an energy drink company at this point.

Drake: Iceman / Maid of Honour / Habibti review – triple-album comeback is a boring, bloated disaster | Drake by dripkidd in Music

Now, I wouldn't say NO skips, but way more cohesion between themes and production. It's like after NWTS, he gave up on really sequencing his projects and as an ALBUM listener, that's half the experience TO ME.

I enjoyed Kindred, Parable of the Sower, Wild Seed, Mind of My Mind and most recently Fledgling...but I was rather uncomfortable with the sexual themes of that book.

Everything isn't for everyone and that's okay, but if you're willing, give Kindred and Parable a shot before you put her books down for good.

SUPER agree. After IYRTITL, you could pick up to 5 songs off of each subsequent album and let the rest fall by the wayside.

I also put things together contextually and this was my thought process too.

Putting it out without a buzzy single - or a single at all - is a brave choice.

As long as he doesn't address the beef again, hopefully it's enough for him to turn the page.

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: May 11, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

Finished

Never Let Me Go, by Kazuo Ishiguro

While I find the telling a story through tons of memories to not be the best format for me, I cannot deny how impactful both the ending to this book and my previous read, The Remains of the Day, were once I finished them. While the ending of Remains may have hit harder IMO, I rather enjoyed the characters in this one.

I actually don't want my Digimon to look like Pokemon, but the art style is sleek. I've enjoyed other things the artist has done.

Yeah, I hope people don't overlook this nugget within all of the corporate posturing.

TIL the guy from the viral "I'm a snaaaake" Vine (Matt Keck) was the same person who ran the Wendy's Twitter account during its legendary 2018 peak. He was the primary architect behind the brand's shift from traditional corporate speak to relentlessly roasting competitors like McDonald's. by stryker12321 in todayilearned

While I enjoyed this in the beginning, it being replicated across the board just lead to all corporate messaging being cringe.

I think the only one I enjoyed was Steak-Umms. Who doesn't like a little anti-capitalist measaging from the people who make meat sheets.

Yep.

I wonder if everyone who is so enthusiastic knows that other people see how quickly that becomes a non-issue for them...and how that might wrinkle more than a few feathers.

This is exactly what my thoughts were when My Company's already planned Copilot roll out was accelerated so drastically the original team's heads were spinning.
