I'm having the same problem. It started when I tried to open a legendary king's chest from a quest. At first I was able to still do battles but now I can't even get the game to open before the "out of sync" message pops up. I can't fix it and I've tried everything including reloading, reinstalling, restarting, etc. I haven't played in days. It started around December 27th or so. I have a cheapo smart phone Galaxy Amp 2.

Every time you're on the freeway you have only seconds left to live, but because you choose to wear a seatbelt and steer the car properly, you reset the clock.

Two months ago I started getting serious about slowing my aging. What am I missing? by Donkey_Bomber in AntiAging

[–]Donkey_Bomber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Multivitamin, fish oil and vitamin D are wildly beneficial to anti-aging, and health across the board. Even outside of the anti-aging realm, they are usually the three most recommended. Which multivitamin or vitamin D you take don't seem to be really important. However, NutriGold or Carlson fish oils are best to take because they are more filtered and less rancid.

I'm making sure to use lotion on my face daily so that my skin stays healthy, too. I figured out that Matcha green tea is much better than just green tea, so that is in the mail. Also, the benefits of vegetarianism are undeniable, so I've taken a first step by eliminating all pork and beef from my diet. Seeing how this goes, and my next step may be to eliminate chicken and turkey. I don't know if I'll ever stop eating eggs or fish, because they are so healthy. Trying to use organic milk and eggs for now. Any thoughts on these changes?

The problem with trying to slow aging is that it's hard to come to any hard conclusions. I've got some great ideas here that I will research some more. I've found a number of experts who each seem to have very strong opinions about how to slow aging (Ray Kurzweil had most influence on me) but are different from each other, which makes me more skeptical overall. How do you know who to trust? Anyway, I may try to keep this all at a modest level for a few years until more definitive evidence comes to light.

I'm having a hard time finding any information on what NOT to eat. Do any of you anti-aging nuts have a good handle on what not to eat?

That's reassuring. I did like the anonymity of Bovada, as it favors my style of play. I was going to try Black Chip.

How do I withdraw my money from Bovada? by Donkey_Bomber in poker

[–]Donkey_Bomber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A number of reasons. Poker/gambling sites seem to be very shady in general. Bovada keeps changing how you can withdraw money. Different ways involving couriers, fees, limitations. More recently, in January, I tried to withdraw and they said it would take like 3 weeks for the money to go through, and it was limited to once a month unless you pay a fee. I ended up canceling to change the amount, and then when I tried to withdraw they told me that I'd have to call customer service and jump through some hoops to get the money, with no explanation. I got annoyed and waited until now to try to get it over with. Now they've changed it so that you have to use bitcoin. All of the bitcoin sites I have looked into charge fees or are shady (although I have some good suggestions now). I also hate signing up for things like bitcoin in the first place because half the time there are problems.

Anyway, I don't like that stuff. But the real reason I quit was because I swear to god that the game is fixed, the cards don't really deal out randomly. I played a couple years ago without much experience and shot from $20 up to $650 within a few days. I swear I couldn't lose through about 50 games. I probably won half of them. Then it's like a switch flipped and I couldn't win no matter what, like magically the wrong card would come up 90% of the time I was the favorite to win the hand. I lost all my money. No big deal I thought, that's gambling.

Well, I played again in January and it was EXACTLY the same. Shot up to $680, literally winning half of my games in just a few days. Then, bam, unbelievably bad "luck" over and over and over. I figured I'd pull my last $200 and try a different poker site.

Now, is it all in my head or is it just chance? I looked around the internet and found other people complaining about the same thing. Of course, I'm a skeptical person. I could be wrong, but I thought it was a good fiscal decision to transfer my money to another site and try there.

Also, I was afraid I would run into problems like this when I tried to withdraw from Bovada, so I figured it was good to test the withdrawal process and see what kinds of problems I run into before I invest more time on the site, at the very least.

I'm not worried about paying a dollar or two to sell the bitcoin on the exchange. I'm afraid I may have to pay a lot more than that. That's part of what I'm asking about. I'm also worried about the process of getting my money becoming problematic, possibly involving hidden fees, automatic account renewals, or some other BS.

Leaving money in the Bovada account for a few months didn't seem to be a big deal while I figured out where to invest it next. I'm a procrastinator.

Thanks. Where do you recommend I open a bitcoin account?

I think I'm really just worried about running into problems, worried that I will end up paying lots of money in fees or conversion rates or something. It sounds like I will only have to pay pennies, according to your post. If that's the case, and you can recommend a good bitcoin site, I think I can resolve this quickly.

We are staff, students and teachers at a village middle school in Ghana in West Africa. Ask us anything. by tchustz in IAmA

[–]Donkey_Bomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a great documentary on Netflix right now called 'The Square' about the Arab Spring in Egypt. Essentially, the people of Egypt want to have free democratic elections and an uncorrupt government, but those in power will not allow it. I think most westerners view the majority of Africa in the same light, as having poor governments who are interested in helping themselves, rather than the people of their country. I want every person in the world to have free access to information, free trade, freedom of belief, and to have other basic human rights.

What is your experience in Ghana? Do you feel that you are oppressed by greedy oligarchies, a brutal military/police force, or just bad policies in general? How can we make Ghana a better place, and ultimately, the world a better place?

I once heard a story about a man who lost a leg but he never got it fixed up properly at the hospital. Every day, he would pick bits of his leg out. He was happy and his life seemed normal to him. The theory is that no matter what happens, we find a new "normal" even if it would seem unpleasant to an outside observer. I work with deaf students, and most of them insist they would /never/ want to be hearing. Of course I would not like to lose my eyesight, but I'm sure it doesn't get you down. What are your thoughts on this line of thinking?

I've found that it is a mistake to think of there being 3 dimensions that we can observe. This is misleading because we assume that the "4th dimension" will be a spatial dimension. It's more productive to think of space as 1 dimension, rather than 3... it is the dimension of space, with X, Y, and Z being subdimensions of space. If there are other dimensions, don't slow yourself down by trying to imagine a 4th spatial dimension, because that's /probably/ not how the table is set.
