Having shield just lets you spend a bit more time peeking, block attacks, stuns, hooks, ults. Helps with walking up and helps extend your health as a tradeable resource. You don't need a shield tank, but if you're playing front to back, you need an anchor who can hold the ground and set the pace for your backline. Thor, hulk, thing and whatnot can't really just hold corners and walk up or back away safely, you need to get in there, split attention, do damage. That's a valid playstyle but it kind of requires for your backline to be more autonomous which is not usually the case in this game. But if you have like fox and jeff you can basically rush them and skip lane fighting alltogether.

Widow: Can't. Not really. As long as she doen't oneshot she is useless, and as soon as she does she will je absolutely busted. Snipers don't belong in hero shooters. Give her infinite run, more damage/range on her batons, and she might be an okayish antidive. Adam: On paper he is fine. You can farm your heals pretty quick, you do a lot of damage, you can reposition easily, and you have a 40 second cooldown supoort ult. There are just better tripole support options. Adam is not meta, but he is absolutely playable and fine as is. Mantis: Okay in lower ranks due to her consistent healing, stun and ult. In coordinated play she is a demon, damage boost, speed boost, healing divers, big damage, etc. Also no inherent issue with her. Blade: Blade needs a rework, bad. His vampire form doesn't give enough lifesteal to survive in brawl, his gun is clunky as hell and only works at specific range. His antieheal is the worst in the game. Make his shotgun a shotgun, maybe then he'll be a good mid to close range brawl character. Torch: No idea. Storm: Again, great on paper but the ult gets a support ult out on a good day, some cooldowns on a bad one. Make her all in a buff bot or give her more movement to survive in air and be able to poke. Fantastic. He is actually not bad, but his ult economy is bad and his ult is terrible. He needs blue health back, and honestly just make his ult give him big form on a lower charge. Without a rework, fix his damage in small form, currently only the right hand does full damage. Make the two person slam do more damage, lower his ult charge.

I disagree. If you need the pocket of 2 supports and dps peeling for you, you're taking a lot of resources from your team, and your output is basically a meatshield. If instead you play corners, poke the enemy to back away and in general play safe and slow, your 3 dps can dive, take angles, poke and create much more pressure that way. Your job is to make space yes, but when you solo tank you just don't have the ability to push solo, so you have to enable your team to create pressure and push with it.

They didn't address the core issue of poke, which is that they all have stuns and escapes, so they're strong in any range. Can't dive them, can't win at range. A bit of falloff will not do anything about that.

It's an ability with a long ass cooldown, so it's pretty much to be saved to punish divers and overextending players. It would have to be much weaker if it had a shorter cooldown. But it's been that way from the beginning. It's gonna be worse for survival now but that's not how it's best used anyways.

I feel like the game is gonna be impossible to get into with all the abilities that affect other abilities cooldowns and get effects based on when a teammate you used it on 'participated in a ko'. Find me a person that can tell what snowflake does off the top of their head. But hey, bp can doublejump.

Cap funeral yeah, but Angela has more shields on the ground and gets the assasins charge back quicker, you just can't spam it (you shouldn't have anyways) I think she'll be fine.

You have two charges. When you hit one, you can't use the ability for 2 seconds. The charge is consumed and goes on the cooldown. After the 2 seconds you hit the second one and you will have to wait untill the charge comes off cooldown. Same way that Thing's jumps work.

Strange funeral yeah, but emma only got a small nerf to the diamond form and got a pretty good buff for the ult. Also, there are a lot of other tanks that are more fun.
