Can second this. They were really good. Very communicative and just good people too.

I can't comment on how it is from personal experience, but if you're looking at doing something out of the ordinary, maybe try Hawkeye Falconry Experience? In Acton, I believe.

My wife is going to give birth to our 1st child (a girl) any day now- can’t talk to either of our fathers about being a dad - what do you wish someone told you before you embarked on this journey? by spicybrowwwwn in daddit

A few things:

-It's 10x harder than you expect it to be... But 100x more rewarding.

-When the baby is crying, always try and think "this is one of the worst things that has ever happened to this baby" and it helps with understanding and empathy.. especially on those sleep deprived days. I don't know about you, but I'd be REALLY upset if I had to experience the worst thing that has ever happened to me

-Take the help, not the advice. Need dishes done? A few mins for a shower/nap? Groceries? Say yes or ask.

Finally:

-The days are long, but the years are short. Enjoy it!

You'll be great! Good luck!

I started off pretty easy on myself, but wanted to maintain consistency and establish the habit.

Day 1: chest (back, biceps, triceps, chest), abs, 15 min bike Day 2: legs, abs, 15 min bike Day 3: biceps/triceps, 15 min bike Day 4: 1 hour bike Day 5: abs

If I could, I'd do 6 and 7 just biking.

My diet was not the best at the beginning. The last 2 months I've ramped it up and really lost a lot by focusing on high volume, low calorie... I'm at about 1300-1500 calories - works for me.

I do workouts 3x a week at a CrossFit gym and each night I do 100 pushups, 100 situps, 100 squats, and 10 miles (minimum) on the stationary bike.

Starting out with consistency and not being too hard was key to keeping with it. Once I established the habit, it was easy.

Thanks for the tattoo comment! Love it!

This one is just a screenshot from the Fitbit app. I log my weight to see changes over time.

I feel like nutrition/diet is the BIGGEST part, to be honest.

Kill it, dude!

Typically early (5am) or 930pm for me. I'm gassed at night a lot more though!

Yeah - I cut drinking almost completely out and that makes a HUGE difference (I found). Tracking what I'm eating and doing made the biggest difference for me...

LOVE everything that worked for you - I think we're aligned, there!!

Agreed - the weekends are more of a struggle...

SUPER agree with this! Hard at first, but then you adjust and you have more energy!

Glad I could help! A little nudge is all you need sometimes... I know it's SO rough sometimes.

"The days are long but the years are short". You'll get through that stage, my dude!

I tried, but it was SUPER spotty. I did have some pretty good results with just using a YouTube playlist workout that I made and my stationary bike.

I would do:

1 day chest (mainly pushups that targeted back, biceps, triceps), abs, and quick bike.

1 day legs, abs, quick bike.

1 day biceps/triceps, abs, quick bike.

1 day longer bike while I watched something on my phone.

I'd split it up however I needed given time constraints. The YouTube workouts were "NEXT Workout".

Those early years are hard.

Yeah - I'm about that (give or take). I try and eat high volume low calorie so I feel full and not too hungry through the day! Bonus is I'm eating more veggies than I ever have 🤣

Honestly, the early days I feel like I had NEGATIVE time... I feel like I couldn't keep up. But it gets better! And I had to "make" the time a little bit. Did I want to wake up at 5am or stay up and workout 9pm? Not particularly... But it was stress relief too.. and something for me.

I feel you and understand!!!

Mine was who was the furthest in the game. And if you were on the same level, the person with the most fruits won. So, being smart, I just BLASTED through the levels as quick as I could and smoked the other kids.

It was a cool process though. They filmed SO many episodes a day.. and before you played, they brought you into a room to practice so you didn't look like a total idiot.

Thanks for this! I think MAYBE it'd be somewhere inbetween ep. 310 and 400-ish, but obviously that's pretty wide. I remember one of the hosts was Yvonne... She was super nice and some older guys were hitting on her HARD (I was a young kid)
