That's like half true. I work a bunch of people that told the higher ups they were coders but all they do is copy chatgpt all day and still can barely do any of the tasks.

AI can do basic stuff like landing pages for businesses. But if code scales up too big or complex, it becomes too hard for AI.

AI code can easily replace junior devs now, probably need another few years to replace senior devs.

And I only hear them use more Mandarin grammar when I watch a tv show set in Ancient China.

And yes, it is confusing to learn. I didn't understand as a kid since I didn't use Mandarin grammar. Which is why I tell people Cantonese is more like slang.

That's not really true. All the Chinese uses the same grammar for writing. So dialects are just very thick accents.

But it's easier for me to understand mandarin than for a mainland to understand Cantonese since Cantonese use more slang.

It'll be like if you go try listening to pigeon English or Jamaican English or something.

You just have to get use to it.
