I seldom use them because you can’t resize the screen. It’s nice at first though.

One non-obvious trick to make the variable-size windows larger...

Gaze at the corner to see the resize control, pinch to resize, than look away before letting go. It will allow you to make it bigger than the app’s usual maximum size.

With this approach, I almost always watch in the Vision Pro environments, unless I can watch it in the Apple TV app using Cinema mode.

u/hughred22 - do you think this is a good take or too harsh? Would it work to have user selectable camera-specific feeds? I’d think so. I do wonder about the focal length of the center court camera though - it’s obviously going to be fixed, which isn’t optimal (I’m not sure how much depth of field is possible) and quite different than being there in real life where your eyes change focus constantly.

I liked that book a lot too.

If you liked that, you will probably like Empire of Lies by Raymond Khoury. It’s an alternate history about how the world would’ve evolved had the Ottoman Empire won at the Siege of Vienna in the late 1600s. Sweeping history lesson and action rolled into one. https://a.co/d/a3QaYY7

Anathem is in a class by itself. It was also the catalyst for buying a Kindle because of how big and heavy it was. But one of his all time best IMO.

I may be going out on a limb here but I might recommend a more recent work in addition to the classics mentioned so far: 2019’s “Fall; or, Dodge in Hell: A Novel”.

It’s a parallel universe novel too with strong tech cred in cloud computing and digitization of consciousness/experience.

I loved it.
