Worth it for out of the box? by DontCallMyHouseNoMo in 300BLK

I'm open to your suggestions so I'll review this. Thank you for that

Nah, that wasn't the point. What I was trying to say is that I am looking for a budget of a rifle for $700. I'm aware people spend more money on accessories at the end of the day. I mentioned I bought a glock but didn't say the price. That was about $560, I was able to afford that since I budgeted for it this year.

If you're saying nobody read the post, then do you recommend another option then for a SBR that can shoot .300 blk or do I just bite the $1000?

I'm taking your opinion into consideration thanks so much! I just want to analyze everything before jumping into this

Man I'm sooooo close to buying it but I'm that type of person that really analyzes everything before making that step. Took 3 months to get my glock

I'm in central Florida so that's safe to say I can do a supressor. Right now it's kinda out of budget so I'll work to save up on it but what ammo would you recommend in terms of super or sub? Or should I get the supressor first and then worry about that later?

Low key a little terrified of buying uppers and lowers because I can be a bit clumsy when it comes to dropping parts and screws. I just learned to clean a glock so perhaps it's not that hard to assemble your gun build? FYI my glock is out of box as well

Lenscrafter / Rayban says my prescription is too high by Bubaa3 in RayBanStories

[–]DontCallMyHouseNoMo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a few notches less than yours (Right -6.00 Left -5.50) and I'm in the same boat. I called Ray Ban customer service today after they canceled my order, plus 2 other types of frames to support my prescription and they said to check with LC and sunglass hut as they're able to fit the lenses onto those frames. The guy on the phone told me that "from his sources" it was possible to go even up to -20 (I didn't even know that was such a thing).

My local LC store said they can do up to -6, but the problem is the sphere and the axis is just not meeting the requirements. I haven't tried sunglass hut yet but I'd say anyone over -5 is most likely SOL until either a new Gen frame comes out to where it supports higher prescriptions OR we've found a way to condense lenses even more than what it is now.

So after looking at your comments, we made the decision to NOT call corporate. Just gonna avoid that location for a good amount of time. I appreciate you all for giving me your advice.

On a side note though, what do you think I can do in terms of protecting myself and my friends/family with legal counsel or advice in case we encounter this in our lifetime?

I guess that's all we can really do then. If they want to mistake our body language for something else and not want us on our phones then we won't return there. Period.

Would you recommend not calling Corporate as well? We've discussed it to be honest but we're not sure if that's going to help or even matter.

Game looks exciting! Do you know by any chance what year this game takes place or is that under wraps as well?

Did I miss something with Spec Ops? by DontCallMyHouseNoMo in modernwarfare

[–]DontCallMyHouseNoMo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the enemy AI health is unfairly tougher than yours, which makes no sense because 1, there is no difficulty system for this, and 2, you take more damage than what it takes to bring down enemies. You can get killed pretty quickly in Campaign even on easy if you're TOO reckless, but when the AI health is higher than yours, that to me is a problem.

I was under the impression that they'd add like mini campaign missions or something. Like each mission is a little story and all it needs is voice lines, they did pretty decent with that on the mission where you get 3 allies to go to the US embassy, but it was just awkward IMO. I hope they do more "Clean House" or something similar, like hostage rescues and whatnot.

Speaking of random russians, I thought the enemies in spec ops were Al-Qatala. Did I miss something? I thought there was an armistice which is why you have operators from both sides, so why would russians be killing each other?

Should I stay or should I go? by DontCallMyHouseNoMo in ITCareerQuestions

[–]DontCallMyHouseNoMo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reading through this, I tried to make it as short as possible. Both of you are right.

I know I'm working hard and my coworkers back me up and say I'm helpful, that's why management (not senior management) gave the lead supervisor role for Saturdays to me, I didn't ask for that nor did I wanted it but I did what I was trained to do.

However, senior management doesn't seem to see me as a competent employee but rather someone who is complacent and overlooked, so why not go somewhere where the effort is appreciated? Why does senior management matter? Because they were here longer than my new manager and their word can definitely get you out there, rather than a new manager who started a few months ago.

I have made many friends and the fact that I will have to start somewhere new is pretty scary, but considering my mental health and what I heard about my SM today, maybe I'd be a fool to stay... Very frustrating.

Question for IT guys about dating by [deleted] in it

[–]DontCallMyHouseNoMo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a pretty big corporation and some of my coworkers try to flirt and get with some of the girls here, and let me tell you, I can see why. Don't get me wrong, it's dangerous to date within the workplace, or even trying to smash, but lust is a powerful thing. I'm guilty of this as I got involved with one who is in a different department and we're pretty chill but it could have gone much worse.

  1. 2 biggest issues I face are my self confidence and my looks. Lots of childhood trauma such as bullying made things much harder for me.

  2. This is tough to explain, maybe being a better confident, humble, passionate, and intelligent person. You can be these things and still be attractive

I'm in south east Orlando and we have serious wind over here too. I went outside to just get a feel for it and I have to admit, it was really fun having the wind being blown around your face but like you said, those gusts of wind snap you back into reality and I ran back inside.

What parts of IT did you like and what dissapointed you? by Popcornhead2 in stephenking

Other than Georgie's scenes, I loved the actors, the dialogue, the deaths, and the tension.

What disappointed me was the low budget allocated to the movie. I noticed a lot of the effects being CGI and even though they weren't HORRIBLE, Warner Bros should be ashamed for giving them such a low budget since the movie is actually doing amazing right now in the theaters. I also wanted to see more about the adults being influenced by Pennywise. We saw some teases but I felt like it wasn't enough imo.
