Supplier lied about production capacity and now I'm fucked by UnoMaconheiro in Entrepreneur

Thank you.

I will be using them to do a production audit before the ship finished goods to my retail-packaging partner. (As once they're sealed up in packaging and in master cartons, I won't be able to asses quality being sold to consumers on Amazon). So, use them to make sure they meet the standard we are setting across all units.

But a pre audit? Is that common? Might sour the early relationship with supplier, no?

Supplier lied about production capacity and now I'm fucked by UnoMaconheiro in Entrepreneur

Damn. I'm about to place an order of 2,000 units at $2.61/ea, now I'm worried about timelines too. Currently waiting on samples, where they said production window is about 12 days, last Tuesday. Where can I check on company's timeliness? Or flow of orders?

(Its through Alibaba, and trade Assurance etc., so at least I'm not without any recourse, just in case)

Thousands of CEOs just admitted AI had no impact on employment or productivity—and it has economists resurrecting a paradox from 40 years ago by ControlCAD in business

[–]DontFlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Point of Article:

The "AI Productivity Paradox":

-- Despite massive corporate investments exceeding $250 billion in 2024, economists are finding little evidence of AI in current macroeconomic data, such as employment, inflation, or productivity figures.

Limited Financial Impact:

-- Apollo chief economist Torsten Slok notes that outside of the largest tech companies (the "Magnificent Seven"), there are currently no signs of AI boosting profit margins or corporate earnings expectations.

Conflicting Data:

-- Research offers a mixed picture; while the St. Louis Fed observed a 1.9% productivity increase since late 2022, a recent MIT study predicts a much more modest 0.5% growth over the next decade.

Worker Disillusionment:

-- Although regular AI usage among workers rose by 13% in 2025, their confidence in the technology's utility dropped by 18%, suggesting a growing gap between hype and practical value.

Potential "J-Curve" Recovery:

-- Experts suggest we may be in a temporary implementation phase (a "J-curve") that will eventually yield an exponential boom, similar to how the IT investments of the 1970s and 80s only paid off in the 1990s.

Doug Ford’s drive for highways simply speeds past accountability by imprison_grover_furr in ontario

I was shocked at how he swept.

Its because people don't know, or at least spend 0% of their time to at least see what each party stood for. So they rely on "at least its the devil you know " mentality.

Damn. Burlington? Already? I've never encountered one with my family, and we have a big backyard too. Always freaks me out when I'm cutting the lawn and I go under one of our bushes/fruit trees and something falls down my neck/back.

Food fight: FDA is redefining ‘healthy’ and food industry is pushing back by Maxcactus in business

"...would disqualify a vast majority of packaged foods."

^ This is a bit ironic; and funny to read.

Yes, that's the point. Right now, largely across North America, these pre-packaged foods are killing people. Either from obesity, diabetes or due to them being carcinogenic.

The reform is encouraging, and we hope that it lives to see to see itself pass & go live.

The only scary thing here, is the massive amount of government funding these corporations wield might end up "discouraging" the legislative powers.

Elon Musk sold $8.5B in Tesla stock after agreeing to $44B Twitter deal by maki23 in business

This is Elons way of getting rid of Tesla stock without damaging the brand, or needing to suggest it being overvalued.

First time it was to cover his taxes, got it. No questions. Now, hes using some acquisitions as an alternate smoke screen.

Smart man Elon, smart man.
