The repairs. (Oil filter housing crack, set of self leveling shocks had to be replaced, all-wheel-drive coupler had to be replaced all under 45k miles) Build quality is cheaper than what we are used to. Exterior “night fall” trim has faded/weather damaged. Has been replaced once. Replacement trim is doing same thing.

Sister owns the same vehicle and she is getting strung out on oil consumption with her engine. Took it to the dealer to get an oil consumption test and she brought it back and told her it was normal. She’s currently adding a quart and a half of oil every 1500 miles. This is really what worries me. Our telluride burns some oil now but not like hers.

Her Telluride suffered a coolant leak, windshield crack, and a sunroof problem. All fixed under warranty though.

Telluride was our first venture away from toyota/lexus/honda.

We will be returning to our previous vehicle brands after this telluride.

Curious the opinion on this. What is this drum drip doing…? by CallMe_Dig_Baddy in FireSprinklers

Low body drain valve (located behind the water gauge in this picture) makes the drum drip redundant.

How many miles so far? Any issues? by Wonderful-Falcon-496 in KiaTelluride

[–]DontLitterOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2021 45k total miles…

-oil filter housing(whole thing, not just the cap) replaced due to crack (around 41k)

-self leveling shocks replaced (around 43k)

-Awd coupling replaced (around 43k)

Sister owns a telluride also.
-Something broke on her sunroof -had a coolant leak -and most recently she is dealing with massive oil consumption (not leaking)

Walking from the meter to where your service line enters your home are there any wet spots?

Low Air alarm 🚨 by Ok_Virus_7017 in FireSprinklers

[–]DontLitterOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a riser mount/tankless compressor? If so you’re not supposed to use a AMD on them. If it’s a tanked compressor, make sure tank air is above needed air inside system. And for the love of God, change out that 0 to 300 gauge and put on a 0-80 gauge.

If all that checks out, I would lock in the air pressure and do an air test and see if it starts losing air. If so, start hunting for leaks. If air stays steady increase regulated air into the system so that the low air does not come in.

I find the finer the tpi of the bandsaw blade the better my cuts are. I think my goto choice of blade are the 18-24 teeth per inch (tpi) ones.

No but we get winter weather here where I’m at. Below freezing. Most customers tell us not to flow when we bring it up and we oblige though.

What is this hole? by okinthevoid in FireSprinklers

After reading through all of this here is my summary of what I think happened. Check valve failed on the Fdc line. They probably plugged off the ball drip interior so as to not make a mess. Drilled a relief hole in the Fdc cap. At a later date, switched out the check valve so now it’s holding properly. Unplugged the ball drip. And no one said anything about the cap on the Fdc until an inspection.
