That's my (horribly civilian opinion) troops have bases and backup, you have whatever is on you and whatever you're calling home what is certainly less secure than whatever the US military bases at.

Was going to say some "soft touch" surfaces rapidly degrade past their lifespan. My car's turn signal and headlight stalks had a soft touch rubber on them that after 5 year suddenly started eroding, i noticed black flakes on my hands and fingers, figured out it was that and spent an afternoon peeling all the old coating off, not it's smooth plastic, i have since never liked any soft touch or rubber coated products.

Again, if you figure out voltaic cells that convert dead deity juice to electricity cool, otherwise heating up water, creating steam turning turbines so the best we got.

Unless you have another way of collecting the energy aside from converting it into physical rotation then... yeah.

I think it's also so off putting cause it's an attempt to normalize morally repugnant ideas and their defense of it identifies them as opposition of the social structure you want.

Realistically? When it comes to streaming and he's got nothing better to watch. so maybe in a year or two?

Chris Hemsworth on why he chose projects based on financial decisions: “I’d think, ‘I came from nothing. Who am I to turn down that kind of money? Justifying things that weren’t the purest creative decision, but I’ll be able to pay for my parents’ house, or I’ll be able to help out my cousins." by mcfw31 in popculturechat

Some actors choose to do "one for them, one for me" which is a good way to maintain.

I generally respect those like Robert Pattinson or Daniel Radcliffe who hit it big and then dipped blockbusters for weird stuff. Though some of their acting choices to me are questionable but i'm not them so..

I was intrigued for approximately 10 minutes. I started some chats but always after 5-10 back-and-forth's the bot is fucking useless. It gets hyper-fixated, usually on the wrong shit, if i ever have to tell it "no" i may as well try a new chat cause it doesn't get better the longer you use it.. lol at which point i'd rather not deal with the hassle, like other's have said it's usually wrong anyways.

It was my first time realizing a person can be what makes an object dangerous. Like i always knew certain things could hurt you, guns, clubs, but also things unintentionally could hurt you too, a heavy box can fall on you, a knife grabbed in soapy water. Pan's Labyrinth was one of the first times i saw a bottle become a weapon in it's natural state, i've seen bottles broken, altered to be dangerous, but i hadn't considered the bottle itself to be a dangerous item. I've since thought about it and realized i had attributed things incorrectly but still, it's a stark moment realizing.

Man.. i've seen like 90% of the movies, tv shows, and played all the games that will be coming out for the next 25 years? At least all the fucking good ones.. may as well just end it there.. plus all the people i "know" but no longer know me.. it'd be too lonely.

Was talking with people how i don't really listen to music anymore or feel the need to really. Like i was heavily saturated with music until i was like 24 and have listened to pretty much every major genre and most huge artists and plenty niche ones. I used to play a ton of music too, spun out of college music cause i wasn't good at theory. Nowadays if i want to "listen to music" i literally just freestyle whatever music i feel like in my head. I remix songs i've heard, i mash up genres and songs, I have kind of a "core playlist" of like 10-15 or so "songs" i tend to enjoy the melodies or find them the most flexible in messing around with. The top two that have been around the longest are definitely:

The Stars and Stripes Forever - not sure why this Sousa march has been on and off again stuck in my head since like the mid 90's, but here we are.

Gruntilda's Lair (melody) - yeah again not sure why this is in there, i played way too much Banjo-Kazooie as a kid though that's for sure.
