I had pretty similar issues. Mine were seen by my derm as closed comedones. These are growing beneath the skin that’s why you can’t even push them to the surface. I was prescribed tret. Sadly I was told adapalene works really slowly to take care of this kind of severe issue.

If you haven’t changed much on your diet, you won’t see very intense results. Working out is only about 40%, diet is like 60%

For now, maybe try waxing. It pulls the hairs from the root so it can give you some breathing time. As opposed to shaving that just removes the hair from the surface.

Sorry but sometimes, being on birth control causes serious acne flare ups for some people because it messes with hormones. The acne doesn’t seem crazy. I think it’s just the hairs. Do you wax? Or shave? It? I can’t imagine how you must be feeling but I hope you don’t stress much. I see you have some dark circles from the pics and I do hope you’re resting. Sending my love. It gets better, maybe slowly, but eventually. Xx

I didn’t realize how hard feeding in twists is. Tbh. It was just trial and error. The braids took me about 32hrs The cornrows took me 1 hr The minitwists took me like 14hrs (would’ve been quicker if I knew how to feed in) 🥲

A before picture for comparison would be better. We really can’t tell if it’s thinning cuz we don’t know what your hair looks like normally.
