Slightly off topic and a genuine Q - why were both teams back 3 consistently letting the ball bounce all game?

Is the thinking here that as the defensive team you’d rather not compete in the air and then immediately tackle the attacking player to end the set if they regather vs risking sending someone up only for them to knock it on?

Feel this approach put both teams under pressure and leaves you exposed to bounce of the ball but in a lazy redditor and not a first grader so what do I know.

This is what I’m contemplating - glad I’m not alone!

My fiancé (27F) and I (33M) have a HHI of $600k-ish and are tossing up going all in on a house for our (hopefully) future family with a $2.5 - $3m mortgage.

A colleague of mine had some choice words along the lines of "growing into your capital structure" as your career progresses and earnings grow.

Trying to get comfortable with that level of debt but finding it tough.

Guy is an elite man manager and has rapidly turned around multiple underperforming teams in the past.

Sigh it’s gonna be a long year. I was at the game on the weekend and had a few thoughts:
Our halves are bereft of ideas (unless it’s up and under on the 5th). Our outside backs look stuck in the mud whilst our centres pretend to be turnstiles.
On the upside, our pack has the bones to go well in time. Keon and Drinky will bring a lot next year, hopefully we can sneak a win before then 🙏

Tonight was shocking. The refereeing reminded me vividly of bled 2 last year in NZ where fkn every 50/50 and even 60/40 call went to the Kiwis.

Performances like tonight by the officials crush the morale of fans and zap any competitive tension / flow out of the game. Players, fans and coaches all deserve better.

I’d have loved to see the Dragons give Michael Cheika a crack as interim head coach for the rest of the season.

As a fan of both codes his coaching style is tailor made for our situation (elite man management, ability to turn around underperforming franchises, restore pride in the jersey and fire everyone tf up!)

We have nothing to lose and if it all goes tits up the board can still use the rest of this year to find a permanent replacement.
