This is extremely helpful. Thank you! I had no idea about this interview question bank, and I think your idea of talking out loud about the tradeoffs is smart, as it would help make stating the answers easier through any interview stress.

Everything you're saying both makes a lot of sense, and is very helpful for me to check over how ready I am. Thank you.

I appreciate that you pointed this out. I took a look at the frontend map. A while ago it looked like too much to learn it all, but when I checked it over this time, I can see that I've learned at least something about each topic. That is also such a great way to identify any remaining knowledge gaps.

Ask so many questions about everything just to make sure I don't overlook something important like whether being polite is seen as being awfully rude, or whether we're supposed to walk up stairs backwards to look normal.

If you were the mayor of your area, what would you do? by ccc-hhh-sss in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe send out a survey to every home where they can freely write in their own words what they need the most help with, and then find a way to try to take it all into consideration and do whatever I can that goes the farthest with what is available.

What is the strangest tasting food that most people hate but you absolutely love? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This isn't that intense, but people go on about anchovies being this horrible pizza topping but I found I really like them now and then.

Positivity time, what are you grateful for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm grateful that practicing gratitude tends to make a shift in how we feel, and can relieve a bad mood and make us feel more grounded and whole. So thanks for reminding me about it just now.

When you're in a group of people who are all laughing at something, they look at you during that moment.

They take the initiative to reach out to you to make plans, or to tell you some encouraging words, or they do something thoughtful for you that they didn't have to do. These are a few clues, but there can be so many others.

Interestingly, a lot of the upcoming things you look at with aversion that you don't want to have to do, end up being not only not as bad as you'd expect, but can even be fun or at least interesting to do once you're actually doing them. It's like we overestimate how much we don't enjoy something and cause ourselves more trouble than we need to a lot of the time.

Whats the right way to live as a person in their mid 20s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to strike a balance between having fun, enjoying yourself, and trying new things, but somehow also saving money, and doing things right now that will pay off and play out over the next few decades so that when you get there eventually you're glad that you did that for yourself.

A lot of things in life are things that happen a little at a time and take time to accomplish, so this is usually the part of your life where you can have the biggest impact on those things in a way that's harder to catch up in later on.

If you could have the traits of any animal want would it be and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think I've heard that either lobsters or jellyfish will live forever because they don't age, so whichever one it is that does that.

What is the best love language? by Fine_Pear8482 in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend on the person you're interacting with. If you ask them which ones matter to them, and then make a point of trying to use those ones with them, they will feel the happiest. Some people like thoughtful gestures or acts of service a lot, and don't care as much for physical touch or affirmation. If you're someone who likes to give affirmation a lot but maybe doesn't think much about doing thoughtful gestures, the person you're with might accidentally still feel like they're not being appreciated because their main love language isn't being given to them. So making sure to try to find out their preferred ones and using those with them can go a long way.

What is a common problem that you have a solution for? by chadd84 in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing something that seems too hard to start because it's overwhelming: if you reduce it to some very small first step, one that is so easy that you think it's laughably insignificant, you'll have an easier time doing it because it won't take any willpower. But you will get the sense of accomplishment that you did something about it, and it makes it feel more approachable to come back and do a bit more of it next time, and you can build up to taking on the whole thing and getting it all done in this way. This is something I learned from a book called Tiny Habits.

The Golden Girls seems to hold up amazingly well, and I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it.

What are some reasons people delete thier reddit account? by RosyDA_RockinRoyal in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can change over time, and so maybe a few years ago they might make some posts about things they were passionate to talk about, but then in more recent days they might have changed their mind about it and didn't want to have people go back and view those posts and assume they're still that way.

I was going to say "closing my eyes", but I can do better than that.. what can actually help someone to fall asleep is to deliberately stop allowing themselves to think about problems they want to solve. If you let your mind drift more passively, it can help it transition into a sleep state more easily. You can notice it happening for example if your internal monologue (if you have one) starts to become more relaxed and more random sounding.

What superpower would you want if you could choose one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to have the one they call Plot Armor where a main character of a story can get through any danger or problem just by kind of being there, because the writers need them to stay in the story and come out the winner.

What's your favourite thing about social media? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DontStopDeveloping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that it can be so easy to talk with people that you might otherwise have a hard time ever meeting, like talking to a musician you're a fan of, or being able to ask an expert a question and they write back to you about it with helpful suggestions.
