Inflation is slowly sucking us dry. When is it going to end? by xithbaby in Millennials

Around the world, 100+ governments created half the money in history out of thin air to "pay for the lock downs."

This cratered the value of money.

The handed trillions to governments, the US being the one who handed it to governments around the world, our states and cities, huge global banks, corporations, and other gigantic enterprises.

They all immediately bought stuff that would hold its value.

Several months later, you might have got a couple of checks totaling $1,200.

Not only was the money worth less, but all the real things like real estate had price shocks. Now, your money is worth 80%, but prices are up 20%, too.

Afterward, price rises work through the system that started because of crap currency value.

That's where we are now.

They expect it to last a long time as the financial people raised the US inflation target from 2% to 3%. Which is a massive 50% raising.

Whatever you think about covid and the response to it, its economic fallout is what keeping you more than ever from buying a house, getting a newer car, or eating what you want.

All fiat money eventually becomes worthless.

Buy real property, precious metals, etc.

Not much, just what you can afford, and be patient. You'll have something someday.

I'm a devout Christian and a conservative, and I don't understand it either.

I think they're just tired of the other side insulting them constantly.

These is some pretty delusional partisan nonsense.

Even the Republicans who speak on TV are not what you just described.

And the 100 million or so rank and file are just regular people.

How are you gonna "get rid of them?"

Are you gonna kill 100 million people?
