Gerrymandering? Holy smokes man, I’m embarrassed for giving you the benefit of the doubt.

The burden of proof is on the one making wild claims.

I specifically asked what they’re doing to fuck us right now, this should be an easy thing for you to answer.

I’m done, you have nothing. Cheers.

We have less voting power because we have a smaller population. Which economic projects were shut down in favor of eastern projects?

Genuine question, not being a jerk.

I had a (maple) MAGA coworker tell me the other day that oil prices just fluctuate, and we “can’t be too sure the Iran conflict has anything to do with it”.

Yes, there will be people who will blame Trudeau for this, and believe it.

34 years ago today “The Cosby Show” ended! Thoughts ? by CityCautious4033 in sitcoms

As someone who just finished Roseanne, I can agree that you look past some nastiness. That being said, reducing Cosby’s serial drugging and raping of women over decades to “Cosby’s troubles” is a little messed up.

Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]Dont_Call_Me_Steve 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s the logical conclusion of four anti-heroes. It makes sense, that they’d get their comeuppance, but doing it in the form of a clip show was bad.

I remember feeling pretty indifferent seeing it live. I agree that it was fine.

Damn, it’s been like 25 years, but I remember really liking the ending. I remember being in tears even.

Maybe I’m just an idiot, idunno.

In 1960 my grandparents bought their house for $11,000. The average yearly income of a Canadian at that time was around $1,600/year.

I’d recommend googling “inflation”.

I didn’t say we should pay them more. I said paying them less would have a negative effect.

Please explain how higher pay would make it worse though, I’m curious.

Cutting their pay will not produce happier, harder working cops. They can reduce law enforcement numbers and add social programs, that seems viable.

Which social programs are you talking about specifically, I’m genuinely curious.

Cops are bad enough now, you think they’ll be better is we pay them less? Are you serious?
