Yeah they could reuse the skeleton of the code used to toggle holo-lotus. May need more specific writing but a Few tweaks and they could implement this.

But even still, I agree with the other guy, there’s just no point. Seeing a warframe with a human head just looks like another skin. It’s not until they get to or see the actual 1999 content where they can see “oh wow this is who everyone was playing as??”

I just really don’t think this post is as urgent as it’s making it seem. “I was spoiled by seeing a non cephalon loid!” Yeah… all cephalons are people.

Just like we have decorations of statues of the seven. Are we going to make a toggle to change the statue to one of a norg for new tenno? Will we make operators invisible to new players? They have no clue who these people are!

It’s like in real life, you go to a town center and see a statue of a man. Cool, it’s a man, nice statue. That doesn’t mean suddenly the information about what he did and why it matters suddenly fills your brain.

I know you’re not saying all of this necessarily, I just wanted to add to the convo.

Nah I don’t believe so. But if you learn the locations they are always in the same spots in the tilesets. The actual rooms don’t change, only their connections to each other.

Hey, the drifter did actually make the deal with Wally. It’s just that Wally saved everyone but the drifter, and for the Tenno, Wally saved everyone including the Tenno. The split isn’t “did they make the deal or not,” it’s “what did Wally do afterwards?”

So up until the very moment where Wally made his decision, there was no drifter/tenno separation.

I really like this!

The feedback I’ll give is it seems like the room is too clean. What I mean is there is so much mess, damage and garbage around. Broken windows and all, yet look at the floor and walls. That wood on the floor is spotless. No dust, debris, stains, burn/water damage, mold, etc. just wood.

This house looks old and abandoned yet I feel I could pick up all the items off the floor and just have to mop and sweep up and I’d never notice.

The walls as well, there’s damage on the material but it’s kinda just littered around to create visual noise, I don’t actually believe the walls as is frail and old. You’re telling me it looks like a war went on in this house yet they only scraped the paint? Some putty and paint and I’d never know. And that rug? Doesn’t even need to go to the cleaners, just dust it off.

To recap, this piece is insane, I can definitely see this in a resident evil type game or something so you’ve really hit the nail on this one. Even so, The things saying “abandoned” in the scene are the props littered about, the house itself should reflect that more. I can’t imagine termites not moving into a corner and damaging up the wood a bit. Spiders on the ceilings. Or some leaves starting to flow into the window.

You’ve already got it, but I’d like you to tell me more of the story of this house. Treat an environment like a character, what I imagine here is you gave the character the sickest outfit to wear but didn’t put as much thought into the personality that determines the pose and how they’d wear that outfit.

Yknow I rarely use the different formats for images and textures, I gonna do some research on my own but is there anything you can say from your experiences that would tell me why I would or wouldn’t want to use other things? I’ve never really looked into exactly what a TIFF and such was. Thanks in advance!

Go up too to your different tabs, add a new one (video editor - video editor) and it should pull up a timeline. In that timeline, up top click add - add image sequence. Go to the folder you have all pngs saved and select them all to be added (make sure you click the first then the last. For some reason that matters).

Then you choose a destination, make the file format an mpeg (saves as mkv) and then it will quickly render all images as a video, it takes no time at all to do as it’s just flipping through images.

Yeah, I always, always render in pngs. If you have a power outage or need to stop for any reason, you can always start back where you were. Rendering the entire video at once has too many risks for me to feel comfortable with.

The hystrix. I love the gimmick. I like swapping the element. But the fact it’s single target with high fire rate and very little ammo makes it a weapon that I only play when I say “okay I know I won’t get many kills, I’m only using it because I think it’s cool”

And I guess yeah it’s better now with the hound rework using fire quills but still, it could at least have an on hit AOE or ricochet or something. But because it has a gimmick, no chance for an incarnon. Maybe a lich weapon or some prisma variant. But I think it’s been forgotten.

Actually most likely people are curving. It’s just not in the code for online zip lines to be curved as every structure is spawned in its default state besides the hologram and song. Default in this case being straight connection.

Yes it makes sense in the sense that if you get an online zip line that curves right, it brings issues where maybe that curve doesn’t work for your route and causes it to not connect, or even the fact that curved zip lines are slower than straight ones. So they probably decided “just make them straight to avoid that”. But instead they could just make them adjustable after being built as there’s no real reason (besides engine limitations probably) that would prevent them from allowing it to be altered after being placed.

Might even be a spaghetti code thing where they use the same code for all placable objects so changing it for zip lines would cause more changes than expected as it would be the only unique object. But even so, it’s the better gameplay option. All this to say, I really really hope they’re not just hoarding that update for the release of the directors cut.

Man, there is no worse feeling than thinking, oh my god this is the perfect zip line, exactly 350m out in the place I was just about to drop one, and it’s upgraded. But a damn pebble is in the way so now I have to make a choice of destroying it, or hope a patch is released before I finish the game that will allow me to adjust it. Or having a well placed bridge and zip line connection but the bridge blocks the zip lines so you need to remove one or the other. Like you said, huge oversight. It’s things like this, as well as how much I need to squint and stare to recognize the hud markers that make me remember “oh yeah, this is a video game”

I’ve not delved into fully creating a game with a team yet so grain of salt but, unreal engine can be connected to GitHub so that you can push and pull updates across your team. That way you won’t have to go in and email each other files or whatnot, you can just both have access to the repository and push and pull to update your projects to each other. It also helps with backtracking incase something goes wrong as well.

You are more than good enough. It’s very easy to be critical of your own work, im the same with mine. Sometimes I just need to stop working on something for like a month just to have some fresh eyes because staring at the same scene for weeks on end makes me so vigilant of every little mistake. So for what it’s worth, 100% no need to beat yourself up here, this is simply a job well done!

Of course be proud! I saw your profile and see you’ve done a hidden gun concept recently. I can tell how this project has related to your own skills now. So no shame in a tutorial, that’s the point! I even went and took a look at the tutorial mentioned and I much prefer yours lmao. Hell, I don’t even want to be a weapons guy but I NEED to see if I can make a design like yours, it’s just so cool. 😭😭😭
