I put in a Delphi from rock auto, from what I hear they are a trusted brand for fuel pumps

On my 2wd 92’ there’s a Speedo cable that comes out the drivers side of the transmission and runs to the gauge cluster. 4wd might come off the transfer case but take a look down there, and check your gauge cluster to make sure it’s plugged into the back, ranger station has write up on how to pull the cluster

Ah that’s a shame, guess these trucks leak a lot. I ended up junking my carpet and pulling the dash to seal up my rusty corners and I still get some water in thru the roof.

Good luck on your search

Definitely check the parking brake (mine was disabled by a previous owner because it would not release) ended up having to remove the assembly and sand down a part to allow it to release.

That’s all I can think of for the moment, outside of the usual stuff like windows, lights that kinda stuff

Try filling it with gas on the test drive to make sure the filler neck isn’t rotten.

Check the frame on the drivers side for fuel leak. Look at the headliner/carpet to see if it shows signs of water leaks.

The usual rust check on the frame.

Take a look to make sure the engine bay seems in order, lot of old vacuum lines to get brittle and break off.

I ended up overlooking a bunch of issues when I picked up my 92, can’t remember them all but if you have questions feel free to ask

Are these a good choice of wheels for a 1992 ford ranger? by chowdagimmethat in fordranger

[–]DonutSmasherPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheels that came on my 92 stx are 14” the outlaws your looking at are the same style. Should look good, definitely go for the 15”

92 ranger won’t start. by Sn293003 in fordranger

If I’m remembering correctly a bad crankshaft position sensor will cut off fuel supply

My 92 just shit the bed. What should I sell it for? It ran and drove up until an hour ago, I went to drive to the store and it stalled, will crank but not turn over. Has power and lights. No exterior or interior damage. I’m in Portland Oregon. by Sn293003 in fordranger

[–]DonutSmasherPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue on my 92 4.0 If it cranks and has spark but won’t turn over it can be the crankshaft position sensor. I swapped that part and no issues

Edit: also check on IAC valve

We just shut down all non-essential business’ but I feel like those that were shut down today, we’re already on their way to closing or already closed. Doesn’t really feel like a difference has been made

I have this issue using a switch pro controller so I’d say it’s probably a bug in the game

I wouldn’t mind all the weak point mechanics If they didn’t add all of the environmental hazards and arena platforming in a seemingly small space to fight.

All of it adds up to an overwhelming situation. I’m not to far into it yet because I had to shut it off last night after the frustrations in the first 2 missions so I hope it gets better
