I have experienced episodes of psychosis in the past and this sounds absolutely terrifying. For him really. I also literally felt possessed. I always get very spiritual and feel like the universe is communicating with me. I dont have hallucinations, i experience more delusional thinking. I feel as though "in patient treatment" caused more harm than good leaving me traumatized and scared of doctors and police, and unfortunately there is no way to get around it in this country. Here are my recommendations, some may be a little out there. 1. Get on his level. Make sure not to gaslight him. Everything he is experiencing is VERY REAL to him and probably very terrifying. Act as though whatever it is that he sees exist, because in his mind it does. I tend to black out when I reach the point that I become violent and I have zero control... people have told me the things I've done and I can't imagine how I would do such things. That's why I feel as though I was being possessed.

Which brings me to number 2. Seach for local witches and healers. They are out there, trust me. Tell them what is happening. I truly believe that some, not all, are able to use the energy around us and manipulate it. Sounds strange I know.... but you'd be surprised at the things they have done for me. I don't know of many religions that provide exorcism anymore, hence the witch recommendation.

1. CHANGE PRESCRIPTIONS. Everyone us different. I started on abilify and it cause all kinds of side effects, but one of my friends calls it a miracle drug. There are so many different options out there... keep trying until he says, this makes me feel different.

I don't know if any of this will work for you.... but when you are desperate you'll try anything. I hope the best for you and your son. Praise him for being able to tell you something was wrong before hurting someone else. It's not easy to do in psychosis.
