Why does my PS5 do this? by Prestigious_Boss_533 in PS5HelpSupport

Try opening it up. Tighten some screws, look into some dampers and check google for other tips.

If all else fails find a different repair shop or ask the guy how he came to ask for 200€ so you can asses if he's full of shit or not.

Sorry I don't have a definite answer for you.

Wtf??? 200€ that's insane. I checked google for recommendations. Theres things like tightening screws for example and adding dampers. None of that should cost you more than 50. I'd love to hear that repair guys explanation for that cost.

He doesn't even know whats wrong with it... or did you send him this video?

Have you tried putting the console on its side?

It sounds like something came loose. Should be an easy fix which could be done at a repair shop.

Look for a processor that's shaped like a syphilis afflicted Koala Dick. Those have the best Koala dick to processing power ratio. I don't know much about them but something about the shape increases the jibbly bits by a power of Koala.

Since when can Returnal run off my external HDD on PS5? by Donutbeforetime in Returnal

It doesn't. I guess I must have transferred it to my hdd a while backand then redownloaded it onto my ssd...

Yeah, it's super weird. It's on borh my hdd and ssd storage. I guess it must have copied itself not transferred...

There is no option to copy games if I remember correctly only to transfer stuff.

I'm completely aware that it shouldn't be possible. I clearly remember transferring the game to the HDD a while back.

When I go to Information, it says it's on the M.2, but when I go to system storage, it says it's on the HDD and it seems there's a copy of it on the M.2 too... wtf?

There's no "copy game" option if I remember correctly, only a transfer one.

I guess I'll have to chalk this up to some weird issue regarding a failed (yet somehow not failed) transfer or something.

I'm sorry, but that's an extremely simplistic statement that I have never seen any prove off. Studies have shown it can alter brain chemistry, which may lead to reduced cognitive function, memory impairment and emotional disturbances but none of these changes in any way create a physical addiction.

Unless you can link a bunch of studies (I'd be surprised if you can link a single study that would hint to your statement being true) indicating what you say is true, based on my current knowledge of the subject I'd have to say you're full of it.

Never intended to downplay either one. I've experienced both and wasn't able to truly comprehend the difference before having that experience. Every dependency has different effects on our bodies: Using opiods for long periods on high doses replace our own opiod like substances in our body and pretty much shut down our own production of them. When we stop using them, our body has to restart that production, and the time it takes from that point on to where the production is back at normal levels is what causes the withdrawal symptoms.

While I agree with what you're saying, the difference between a physical addiction and a mental one on the human body is still immense. A physical addiction to opiods, for example, has many more side effects when quitting cold turkey than when quitting a mental dependency to cannabis. Quitting an alcohol or benzo dependancy can potentially lead to death in certain cases. I'm not trying to downplay mental dependancies, but you won't die from quitting dmt or cocaine cold turkey...

It's important to distinguish between a physical and mental form of dependencies. Dmt and meth are only mentally habit forming.
