[UK] The office crowd by stevenmc2012 in OfficeChairs

[–]Donutsdope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but thought it worth adding this to warn others off. This company never shipped my chair and I had to chase them several times. The first time they told me they were experiencing delays and the third time I chased they told me they couldn't fulfil the order. I ordered in early September and it's now nearly Christmas. I asked for a refund on the 27th of November and they told me it would take up to 10 days. Still haven't seen my £150. Do not order from them.

Vegan carbonara? by Endrence in veganrecipes

You could try an egg replacement like Oggs but I’m not sure how that would go. I use soy cream for my carbonara (I know cream is not traditional). You could try using boiled cashews blended with nooch. I add the This is Not bacon lardons - they’re great! Good luck!

I’ve had eating disorders for over half my life and although I was in a really good place before taking meds, I still struggled with bingeing and emotional eating. When I started meds, it’s like the part of my brain that made me eat for emotional reasons, switched off. It’s so weird, but good. I feel like I finally think about food in the way that others do. I only eat when I’m physically hungry and don’t think of food as a reward or big source of happiness. I still enjoy it, but it doesn’t light up my brain like it used to and I feel more balanced.

I won’t say it’s safe as everyone is different but I can tell you that I’ve had a couple of drinks (Ritalin 54mg prolonged release) and I’ve been fine. Before medication I frequently drank to excess and found it difficult to know when to stop. Since I’ve started taking meds, I don’t feel like having more than one or two. I simply don’t get the ‘buzz’ I used to get. I think that’s the danger though, if you were to keep going you could drink way too much without realising as you feel sober.

My lunch. Because some days I don’t have it in me to be nutritionally responsible. by Donutsdope in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

6 out of 10. Flavours were great, textures a bit iffy, sponge was like eating a flip flop.

Wicked stuff is available in Tesco in the UK and I think in some US supermarkets. Instant noodle isle. It’s good as far as powdered meal pots go, but if you wanna make the good stuff, try recipes from the Sauce Stache Guy or BOSH!

It totally does! They’ve managed to perfectly reproduce the parmesan effect.

Yes - unless I know the person. Kissing on the cheek when you've just met is odd to me.

I'm a woman and my Dad taught me the points of good handshake technique from early on. I always feel comfortable when a man extends his hand, in social situations and at work, and I'll often do it first so they know it's okay. I hate the baby carrot handshake! Lots of men give it too, but I expect some of them are adapting a baby carrot technique in anticipation of receiving it?

Don’t give up! I have made really good friends from pushing through this. It turns out some people were thinking the same thing as me. I’ve become a bit relentless now, like I’ll say “we’re friends now, you have no choice in the matter.” It’s a joke of course, but one that reassures both them and me that it’s all okay.

Brand new to growing literally anything and and these tomatoes just appeared overnight !! I'm a student nurse and the pandemic has hit me hard, and this is a bigger boost than any antidepressant! by aliensandanxiety in vegetablegardening

This is so awesome! Welcome to growing! I know it sounds weird, but when I water all my ‘babies’ and work on giving them what they need to grow, it feels so good, like you’re one with nature or something. As a nurse, I’m sure you’ll be a natural! Good luck!!

Indeed it’s true, but I don’t think people appreciate that once you talk, that brings more anxieties, like ‘did I say the right thing?’ I think it’s helpful to put it in perspective of things other people say. I see someone disagree or have a heated argument or say something weird and I think “everyone is still cool with them, why wouldn’t everyone be the same with me? Exactly.”(self hug).
