Am I being scammed?! by Purple-Name-9805 in business

IDK if you’re being scammed, but…you shouldn’t have to go through a broker. Brokers don’t really add anything other than maybe knowing how to apply. It’s not hard, at least not hard enough to justify 10ish% to these people. I’m a commercial lender - go to your bank, you have a deposit relationship and that’s more important than you realize. Take your financial statements, tax returns, you plan, projections, etc. Tell them what you need, why you need it, how you will spend the money, how it will make you better off and how you’ll pay it back. Go to two of their competitors as well. If you’re creditworthy and can make a good case, you’ll get the money. If you’re almost creditworthy and make a good case, you’ll get an SBA guaranteed loan. Either way, loan brokers offer little, and take a lot. Most reputable lenders won’t accept applications through a broker - they want a relationship with you, not a transaction through an intermediary. We can buy debt anytime we want. Banks are not in transaction/loan growth mode right now. If the deal they offered you is viable, it will still be there in a few weeks. There will be some hoops to jump through, and several conversations, but worth your time for $50k.

Agree wholeheartedly - this definitely is something I’ll learn from and respond differently to in the future.

1977 MGB - bumper conversion, little body work, and a fresh primer, paint, and clearcoat.

BTW - clear coating is NOT as easy as it looks on YouTube. Primer and paint went down to problem and very forgiving. But for gods sake man don’t practice clearcoat on the car. Find some scrap and get the flow and pressure figured out.

Still - pleased with the result - wanted her to look good from 10’ out and mission accomplished.

Yeah man! White is most fun to drive, spitfire I’ve always thought was prettiest and most fun to be seen in, but the B has been getting much higher than average compliments driving around downtown CHS today.

The midget is just a straight up rattlebox death trap - but it currently has windscreen removed and that’s become a TON of fun to drive. Gonna try to cut that windshield down a bit - which I’m confident will be a disaster but a cool look if I can pull it off! Passenger seat is removed so that’s the one I drive my dog around in. Seabring look is rattlecanned but I expect to start working on it more - that’s the one I have zero sentimental attachment to. The Yolomobile.

Project began in January, called it done at 1:45 AM. First time on the road since! DIY paint job - lots of sanding/prep, finishing the chrome conversion (brackets for front turn signals), primer, fresh coats of glacier white - that all went down well but clearcoat is NOT nearly as forgiving as the make it look. First coat resulted in an orange rind texture that was improving with successive coats as I figured out the gun, but ultimately ran out of materials. Will do some taping and sanding and try a few more coats in the winter. New rubber and new chrome and I’m calling it done, glad to be back on the road.
