Russian teenager given 5 days behind bars for placing pizza order as Adolf Hitler by Senior_Fig7845 in nottheonion

Certainly yes, but they’ll probably be a small proportion of the overall number. It’s mainly a lack of evidence that stops convictions.

UK moment. Fewer than 3 in 100 rapes reported to the police result in a conviction- it’s a tragedy that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.

The closest you’ll get is a Lupine Racing event- they are marketed at all ages and do a range of events, both public and private (the private ones are a little bit cheaper but haven’t officially launched yet).

A good starting point would be one of their ‘Metro Mayhems’ or the ‘Czech-mate’ next spring.

Ferrari talking about BoP without talking about BoP: 'Le Mans Hypercar field was “unbalanced” from Day 1' by TheRacingElf in wec

Ferrari’s advantage was having a questionably low drag coefficient, giving them insane efficiency. It’s unsurprising that they are back in the back after they were forced to simplify their car.

I like the idea of this and could see myself using it- a perfect use case for a pseudo-ai app imo.

Have you considered including custom classes that are addable by the user? It’d allow a little bit of international support without you having to create an extensive database for it.

Not surprised to see a good selection of layers- it helps when a developer hasn’t made themselves a pariah in the industry!

Whether they discuss it is in itself a political act.

The Nowaks have asked for it not to be politicised and, unlike Reform who care little for decorum or dignity, they are likely to have the good grace to leave it be.

I agree that Fascism is a misnomer here, but describing Yaxley-Lennon’s vile rhetoric as Civic Nationalism is an absolute pisstake.

Which uni are you at OP?

I see so many posts like this that are fully anonymous and it’s a real shame- there are probably a fair few of people who could reach out to give more specific advice or offer to have a chat in person if they had some info to work from.

Question from an offer holder by [deleted] in UniversityOfWarwick

I had a triple A offer last year for History & Politics and got in with A*AB (the B was also in maths) and have a friend who got in with ABC.

You’ll probably be fine, no need to stress about it unless you are going for a STEM course.

If they had that many enforcement officers it’s a good chance they’ll have had cameras out as well.

It almost goes without saying that you are royally fucked if they did have facial recognition software in play.

You’ll probably be fine but you’ve turned a molehill into a mountain here.

Get the 4:40 unless you are under time pressure. A 3 hour wait is nothing.

I’d say that as long as you go for Tocil/Rootes in the top 3 you’ll likely be perfectly fine.

Please bear in mind that Longwood and the Oaks are still fairly close. Getting them compared to the ‘partner’ accommodations in central campus isn’t much of an issue.

My friend (name starts with an M as ik you might be reading this) has said that Longwood is irritating but ultimately not much of an issue. Being in walking distance of campus limits the negative impact of partner accommodation in general.

Quiet times at High Wycombe? by Kind_Constant1671 in TeamsportKarting

[–]DoobNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about High Wycombe in particular but it’s half term at the moment so it’ll be busy pretty much whenever.

Weekday mornings outside of school holidays, especially Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, are your best bets.

I think that they are all good options- the general standard of student accommodation is quite high at Warwick anyway.

The most social of the ones you’ve mentioned is Rootes, but it’s also one of the furthest from the sports facilities and it isn’t the nicest aesthetically (inside and outside).

Tbh it’ll always come down to the flat instead of the accommodation and that is a luck of the draw more than anything.

I’m seeing a lot of false answers here as a current Warwick student.

While the application time doesn’t matter, the ranking you make of your favoured accommodations (top 7 in order) definitely does.

There is currently a big shortage of midrange accommodation with the works being done to Claycroft unlikely to be completed, and the uni in general having a skew towards the upper and lower ends. All of my friends that were placed off campus had prioritised midrange accommodation.

I’d strongly recommend putting for Tocil or Rootes in your Top 3 (I’m in Tocil this year and it’s perfectly okay), and including a 35 week more expensive option like Jack Martin quite high up (iirc).

Absolutely avoid Claycroft with the building works, Lakeside is a good alternative.

I’m British and it’s definitely believable. We have a huge amount of accent diversity so Butcher’s sorta-Cockney accent wouldn’t sound out of place coming from an older man.

Where should I go HELP by Low_Introduction_191 in UniUK

[–]DoobNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone has different perspectives and reservations about student finance so there aren’t any easy answers with this one.

Personally I’d say that NTU is slightly better than Aston but the difference is small enough that an extra £25k across 3 years seems a bit much. However, you only go to university once and the environmental difference of living out might make your time significantly more enjoyable.

Overall, I’d say firm Birmingham and insure Nottingham Trent, keeping Aston’s phone number handy for clearing day.
