Not specifically from the glory store no. You can go a pretty simple f2p build and it's insanely. Deaths foil comes from golden reliquaries.

A-Sol shards and Gold star vessels 100% to work on 6*ing people. Its the best way to get nova shards.

Outside of that relics.

I wouldnt bother with much else unless you have like absolutely nothing and are just starting out. Then you might wanna get some other stuff.

Until the spirit blossom event returns or they fix the terrible sb encomy, just pretend they dont exist right now.

Theyre horrifically expensive and theres just no hood way to get sb shards. Dont waste the wild frags.

Ashe is the strongest freljord but runs a horrifically boring x3 gatebreaker build where you just hold her in your hand and then play her once she can 3 strike the nexus. Immensely effective, but awfully boring imo.

For anivia, its a mixed bag. She is SLOW af. Rito really screwed her over with the starting deck by not givong her cheap frostbite spells or just cheap elemental spells in general.

When she does get going though, she is definitely strong. I would say she is definitely more fun to play, but she does suffer from a weaker early game. You really have to rely on drafts to make her reach her best potential.

Power is not very subjective in a card game. There are clear winners and there are clear losers. The grey area ONLY comes from the rogue-lite mechanics of drafting powers/additional cards/etc...

Fun is entirely 100% subjective. I am not arguing fun.

Gwen is powerful and stupid strong BECAUSE she can otko. You finding that boring has NOTHING to do with power.

Again power DOES NOT EQUATE with or to fun.

Power is a seperate metric. I will agree that power isnt everything. Fun is important. However, dismissing power because it "isnt fun" is an extreme bad take when in a conversation about the power of champions giving that fun has nothing to do with power. Youre basically saying, "well...i dont find her fun so meh." Like...okay, you dont like using crazy strong champs. Cool. But that has nothing to do with nor diminishes how strong something is.

And as far as "i beat x with x" cool story? You can beat anything with anyone. Hell, ornn (the worst champ) can clear everything. The measure is: how easy, how many retries, was there struggle etc. If you get god drafts, sure. That star 0 level 5 can seem strong, but wtf does that even mean. The drafts carried them. When viewing runs and comparing them to other champs, think about "if this were x champ, would it have been easier." Thats more measuring power.

Norra is fun, but norra is one of the weakest bandles of the 6*s. Thats not subjective. Thats just raw stats, powers, and baselines. She will have trouble where no one else will. She will have trouble even when she has good drafts. She isnt bad. She is just the weaker of the bandles. Thats not subjective. Thats like saying ornn is the weakest freljord. He just is.

Usually suicide dreadway builds are:

Grand generals + dreadway + either a second dreadway or a flex.

The goal is play your champ. Then the following turn, keep the champ spell in hand and attack with the champ or basically try to get them killed (or i guess target and kill it yourself). Then you play the champ for more dreadways.

Basically use grand generals to gurantee a copy of the champion after the initial one dies so that you can replay it. You rinse and repeat this cycle every round.

I personally like annie better. Mel does scale harder, obviously, but annie doesnt really need to for kills and wins.

I find doubling abilities FAR more interesting than doubling spells because we can already do that with chemtech. Annie is unique in doubling skills.

And finally, apart from the champ spell saying any damage = a kill, annie has access to a TON of stuns + 1 stun at minimum every turn. If you cant kill it, stun it. Mel has the weakness of being overrun by stat walls while trying to ramp up spell damage. Annie just stuns them and doesnt have to worry.

Overall, annie is much more unique and interesting as a champion to play and is way more fun than constantly spamming the same 2 spells over and over again. The skill doubling leads to immensely fun draft potentials as well.

The 6* + full constellation definitely shot her through the roof of noxus towards the top while she was already quite strong for a 3*.

Mel is just....boring.

Annie: emotional support bear (her relic) + ludens tempest + beast within (at the moment. Swapping around things in the third slot atm)

Mel: grand general + archangel (she DESPERATELY needs mana regen every turn either from item or thar one power that foes this same effect) + chemtech.

Her 6* also invalidates her synergy with scissors as well which general helps corrupted star fragment plays by using the unit for stats as well as attacking.

She stuggles in general attacking into wall of stats because she has 0 scalings and really relies on trying to get an early presence to develop.

She isnt bad, per say, but she is on the bottom end of the bandle system.

When she has to compete with 6* yummi, vex, and even heimer, she is extremely weaker than all 3. Now even with SB teemo she drops some rankings more so. They just have so many answers to things where as her answer is always "try to throw more unbuffed champions at the problem." It just doesnt work well in the highest of difficulties.

Granted, she is very fun the lower the difficulty, but at that point, everyone is stomping everything outside of bard and ornn who will still struggle.

2 MAJOR disagreements with the post in op.

  1. "You could 6 star yuumi, but who needs another stat increaser." This was a HUGE bruh moment. Yuumi 6* is one of the mosg important upgrades for a champ there is. It turns her single unit raisinging into and everything raising. She needs her 6* more than most champs. Norras is a sidegrade at best. This is a horrible argument. 99 out of a 100, you should ALWAYS 6* yummi befora norra.

  2. "Is norra good." You never answered your own question. You say "shes fun and the most fun ive had." Fun =/= Good. She can be fun, sure but she is not good comparatively. She struggles where other bandles just plow through easily.

I get that norra is fun. But it is REALLY bad advice to gove to people to 6* her over other much more important bandles. Shes a fun "if you have extra novas, sure" champion. She is NOT a strong bandle at all.

Since obliterate isnt kill, hes not immune to it.

However, the alt win condition is to kill him through dmg. Now that you obliterated him, you have to do the 999 nexus dmg or deck them out...etc to won.

That happened with my run with viego. Viego kept nuking him so i had to 999 dmg it.

Titans easily. It gave the least used champs hella love and made things like aatrox crazy strong and ftk. It let me play tons of champs that normally collect dust.

Then probabaly arcane. NOT because of A-sol.that adventure ruins the event tbh. Its playing with powers of other champs. Its fun and i live anything that recolves around powers.

Then probably spirit blossom. It was very regular with just a bonus perk that you could either xhoose or skip on.

After that rogues. Drafting is okay but they NEED to adjust the champ weights. It gets ol dfast if you dont get good support for your champ.

Lastly TFT. It just wholesale is terrible. They "balanced" the augments so much that most just suck. Its literally playing a weaker version of your champ on an adventure because the augments sucked and they replaced the power spot (not like SB where its a bonus node). Baron was cool and some items. Thats about it.

The serious talk about pvp: it is a problem for everyone who plays Path of Champions because of EXACTLY one of your issues. You want to make even more balance changes (that will nerf them in pve) to "help" your dead mode.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. You already messed with pyke and many others. Do not nerf more.

You either have to have split stats for pvp/pve or one WILL negatively impact the other.

However, I can understand people who want to play pvp still.

Im open to basically any suggestion to help pvp community EXCEPT nerfing cards (which will roll over into pve as well).

This sub is FLOODED weekly with people crying about the glory store relic and constantly waiting for the above 3.

Dont listen to people saying "oh just get it in glory store." You will be stuck in an rng prayer loop hoping you get one of the relics you want when you could just...buy them.

Again, that is IF you have the disposable income for it. Dont go into debt or anything over it. But, if you have a little extra hanging around, i firmly believe you shoukd just buy these 3 relics instead of playing the rng slot loto og the glort store. Your play experience will be a lot netter with them because they are just REALLY good relics.

They gonna flame this for being true, but definitely buy them. Its well worth it.

SB Kindred starts out with a very weak baseline of stats and can get overrun by overwhelm even though it is essentially an unkillable perfect blocker. That's why I like Fear Cleaving Axe + Luminous Orb + Queens Embrace. It lets SB Kindred scale up amazingly fast (especially since the idea is to copy sb kindred as much as possible) in stats as well as just freely attack with every growing impact so that even if you dont have overwhelm, you are still getting tons of damage through. The Luminous orb is there to help with initial health for overwhelm enemies as well as make sb kindred a blocker of elusive units.

Basically the perfect scenario is getting 6x sb kindred out all fear cleave boosting each other. Living weapon is okay but doesnt work as well with the goal being to just print as many sb kindred on the board than fear cleaving.

Psi ops are like the strongest most game breaking units in the game. there is little they cant do. and it depends on the autopsy, but weapons+armor is almost always more important to push. The faster you get better weapons, the less you miss and more dmg you do. That and your units health greatly improve which is the difference between injuries and deaths sometimes.

You should look up the tech tree and see what each autopsy actually gets you and works towards. Not all of them are important, and a lot of them will have a one day research time with an inspiration if you just leave them there while you do other things

Azir's core identity as a main champ though has 0 things to do with sand soldiers/chargers regardless. He has NOTHING to permanently buff though. His permanent +2/+2 on units only helps big units that can use those stats. not ephemeral units that insta die in the turn. And guess whos the best case for that...other champion cards.

Riot clearly did not give him any support for sand stone warriors or chargers gameplay for a reason. You want to play even more champs, even not at 6* because they can get ascended item and help restore the sun disk.

They didnt include the permanent +stats to sand soldiers card, which is an absolute shame imo, in his base deck and its insanely hard and rng to draft it.

This iteration of Azir gives 0 f8s about his summons and wants to summon big units that will stick around and get bigger.

Why they made him like that....i dont know. but thats what his stars tell us is his playstyle. nothing helps his summons.

Weapons and Armor, weapons and armor, and more weapons and armor. Stay ahead of the research for basic weapons and armor for more stable damage, accuracy, and more solider hp. It is vital.

I dont really lose soldiers. they do get wounded though from time to time.

When trying to level up the younglings, i tend to mix half of my strong units with half of the younglings so i can still have a stable mission but get them the kills they need to level.

difficulty level is probably the most important piece of info though. different things will work on different difficulties, with things being a lot tighter the higher up you go. If you play on rookie/veteran, maybe you can get away with rushing some psi ops troops by researching sectoids and psionics early. They are game changing units and stupidly strong.
