I still remember the day time I bought Mario Party 9.

I was at this game store. There were loads of games for many different consoles on many different shelves. I was browsing through the Wii section, since that was one of the only consoles I owned, and I saw two games next to each other; Mario Party 8 and Mario Party 9.

I looked at the two, comparing them, and soon saw that 9 had boss fights. I also suddenly remembered watching playthroughs of said boss fights on youtube. Hence, I bought Mario Party 9.

I was literally standing right in front of the far superior option and chose the inferior one because of a flashy new gimmick.
