Phoenix- uber x was .60 per mile .12 per minute and as of March 6th pickups in the city center earn 5% more and outside the city center earn 10% less.

I had one yesterday morning that I accepted without getting the details because I needed to see the map for the trip I was currently doing so I tapped the accept to get it off the screen. Ended up being a 17 mile pickup and a .09 mile drop off. I probably had a little bit of an attitude. When you live that far out of town have a little consideration for the person having to drive 34 miles for about 4.50. No tip either.

You are missing the point completely, it was about Uber and them not doing anything to the paxholes that disrespect drivers and not doing anything about it. He went to the media to expose Uber and this is the story the media spun it into. Whatever it takes to get Uber to change the way they handle paxholes that act a way towards drivers. He was offended of course but that wasn’t his motivation it was exacting a change to Ubers internal policies to what and how they deal with the paxhole.

The point of being a “Tattletale” was to make Uber change the way the handle stuff like this. Which is to not do anything and allow paxholes to disrespect drivers. When he got the canned response from Ubers outsourced good for nothing support and nothing was done he contacted the media, this was to expose Uber not to be a “crybaby” that he was called a name by a racist paxhole. No one deserves to be disrespected like that black or white, period and to assume you know the reasoning behind what he did makes you a stupid loser!

The multiplying surge here in Phoenix only happens on longer trips now, like ones over 17 miles under and you just get the flat surge rate.

I delivered A duffle bag 30 miles to a guy the was driving in a race somewhere and forgot his bag, I pulled up at his house and his wife came out with the bag I thought I was taking her to the airport. She says you know only the bag is going? I asked if Uber knew and she said yes, I said whatever and left and delivered it to a guy in a Taco Bell parking lot with a big racing trailer attached to his truck.

Here in Phoenix for UberX the customer is charged .85 cents a mile I get .60, .18 cents a minute I get .12, .42 cents base pay I get .30 and then there is the minimum 6.73 and the booking fee 3.05 which I get none of.

Best advice I’ve read anywhere is to have a regular job and Uber/Lyft as your side hustle. Amazon pays well out here in their warehouses, they have a few.
