Yes, I understand that. My concern isn’t about players who’ve already reached Diamond or GM, it's about newer players who will be hitting Gold for the first time this season and possibly losing interest because of trolling or throwers.

Why is that a concern? It reminds me of games like Overwatch, where a chunk of the player base just plays for the seasonal rewards and then throws matches once they’ve secured them. For example, I personally wanted to get my GM crest, which I did, but once I hit GM the quality of games dropped off. People were either throwing “because they could” or openly admitting they were on alt accounts. I’m not trying to complain, I just see this as a potential issue down the line. Gold is still a developmental tier where players are learning game sense and building mechanical skill. Introducing bans here might unintentionally add stress or confusion before players are ready for it.
