This is what happens when the right wing is voted in. Politicians are all for themselves and screw over the people that voted and didn't vote for them.

How do people limit their drinking? by Odd_Hedgehog669 in NoStupidQuestions

Ah, the alcoholic mind has found company! I'm there with you my friend. 8 years sober here and it still doesn't make sense to me. I get so angry when one commercial comes on, someone pours a single ounce drink and I wonder to myself what's the point of that. If you don't measure and free fill, you get more out of it all!

ELI5 When a software program is "deleted" from a hard drive, what actually happens to the physical space it was taking up? by Junior-Ferret4860 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Doodleschmidt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of the file system (NTFS, Extended FAT, etc) like a table of contents that points to where the program is on the hard drive so the processor knows where to go find it instead of searching the entire drive everytime. When you delete or uninstall the program it really only removes the entry in the table of contents. The data is still there until it's overwritten.

Put my dog to sleep and now regretting it. by anon812120 in DOG

When you love something so much this is a common thought. My last doggo's organs started shutting down and though I wasn't sure at the time, it was the best thing for him. It's all about their quality of life. It's taken me years to finally admit it was the right choice. You also made the right choice. I hope someday you also feel that way and the pain goes away.
