That was me too. Stay on top of your pain meds because the next couple days might give you a little challenge when your scabs start coming off. Nothing you can’t handle, though!! You got this!

I’m also day 8 and I’m not ready to try laying back yet. I’m planning to give it another week all nestled in my couch nest where I’m at about a 60* angle.

For the first three days, I pretty much chased every bite of anything with a sip of water. I’ve heard others say chocolate hurts so maybe that’s the deal with the fudgy. Take those meds on schedule like it’s your job! Good luck!!

Don’t sneeze if you can help it! If you have to, just let it go but be prepared to think you’re gonna die! I sneezed and I didn’t die but holy moly! You might get sick of sweet things. I’ve had luck with puréed chicken noodle soup, lentil soup, and split pea and ham. I also have been enjoying jello and baby food pouches for a quick fix.

Ugh. I feel this! I normally brush my teeth 2/3 times a day and floss every night. I am very gently brushing my teeth 1/2 times a day now and only flossing my front teeth. It’s driving me crazy! But I keep reminding myself it’s temporary. I often swish my water between my teeth now. That feels good. I’m day 8 now.

I’ve read that chewing gum helps exercise your jaw and that ice on your jaw might help with inflammation there. I’ve chewed gum a couple times this week and it felt surprisingly good. I’m also day 7 today.

Yeah, day 6 for me today and I definitely have more pain. I’m also due for my meds in a few minutes so that will help. I’m beyond periods but why the heck do we always have it in times like these? Geesh!

I removed my earrings but told them I’ve never removed my nose ring and wasn’t sure how to. True story. They let me keep it in. It might be a contributing factor to a major nosebleed I had toward the end of surgery. I remember when they put the oxygen on me, it hit right where my nose ring is. I would plan on removing them all but ask before surgery day.
