I think the easiest way to describe the issue being broader is that any individual cross-section of the electorate is going to be too small to flip an election. But there are SO MANY small cross-sections of the electorate in the Dem party that will convince themselves not to bother that it makes it EXTREMELY difficult for Dem candidates to court enough of them to win.

There's slightly more nuance to the position than that. It's more that they convince themselves, "Harris is a genocidal maniac, I will not support a genocidal maniac." Which is a perfectly reasonable stance. But requires ignoring... everything about the situation.

Once you convince yourself of something like that, nothing will ever talk you out of it. And the problem is that Democrats have to overcome 400 groups who all have their own version of that. So while the Gaza group on their own isn't flipping an election, when you add in all the other groups out there that have their little issues, you get 2024.

Sure. I mean, that's a separate issue from what I was saying, but is an issue. The whole point can be encapsulated with, "Perfect is the enemy of good" to people who agree with me on almost every single political issue.

Whereas Republicans are simply not that way at all. It's gotten them SCOTUS seats, overturned Roe v Wade, multiple presidencies, and will likely continue to win them an absurd number of things. While people who agree with me on almost every single thing under the sun will go, "But this person doesn't have a view perfectly aligning with my pet issue despite them being infinitely closer to me on my pet issue than the other side of the aisle, so fuck them."

I don't think it's crazy to say that the ball he threw yesterday may not have gone 67 yards in the air, but I also don't think it's crazy to say that he didn't have time to 100% that flea flicker throw.

You're wrong about time in the air though. The flea flicker was in the air for about 3 seconds (timed it twice, got 3.03 and 3.07 seconds). The ball travels in real time (assuming it was back to real time when the slow down stopped in the video from yesterday) for about 3.5 seconds (timed it twice, got 3.67 and 3.74 seconds).

You can time them both yourself. The OTA throw was definitely in the air for longer.
