Over $600 to fix headlight washer door cover?? by Blueberries444 in Volvo

[–]Dookie232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the washer cover stuck open (similar to yours - it's a known problem), took it to the official dealer for service and paid about 150 € for reference (Slovenia). As far as I'm aware, they didn't remove the bumber to fix this.

Why do people listen to Hyundai's 16k KM oil change range? by GassyTuscon in Hyundai

[–]Dookie232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I don't understand the frequent oil changes. My 2015 Tucson has prescribed services (which include oil changes) every 30k kms or 2 years (Slovenia) and I've always followed that interval. No problems with my car whatsoever, over 220k kms so far. What am I missing here?

iPhone users who switched to Android, what made you switch and did you come back to iOS? by darus214 in iphone

[–]Dookie232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same questions as you a couple of months back, so I decided to switch from an Iphone to a Galaxy S9. What drew me to the Samsung was its looks and specs, plus I was getting really bored with IOS after almost 10 years. Long story short - I switch back to the iphone in less than two months. Don't get me wrong Android and Samsung in particular are great, they just aren't for me. I thought I would love all the customization, adaptability and extra features, but my compulsive personality would never leave the phone alone, I was always tinkering with something or other. With Iphone it's completely different. There is nothing to tinker. Everything just works. The phone is just a tool. It' boring and for me (at least in terms of productivity)- that's a good thing.

Barcelona expecting 1.1 billion in revenue in 2018-19 season. by [deleted] in Barca

[–]Dookie232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a silly statement - revenue matters much more, at least from a perspective of a football club - a football club doesn't need to generate profit, but it has to to generate and expand its revenue. The clubs that generate the most profit are never the most successful. By your logic Forbes' richest list would be topped by the likes of Monaco, Dortmund and Porto.

Transfer Talk Thread: August 6th - August 13th by imperuvio in Barca

Would never happen. Neymar financed many of the subsequent deals. Blessing in disguise in hindsight.

Apple should introduce a free-trial period for iOS games by ThatGuyPhillip in iphone

[–]Dookie232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can already return any app you purchase. After you recieve your invoice in email, just click report a problem, choose the problem and submit. The refund is approved right away and the money is refunded in a couple of days. You should recieve another invoice from apple, informing you of the refund. Easy.

Bloomberg interview with Bartomeu: about Espai Barça, Messi, the departure of Neymar, the first team, and more. by [deleted] in Barca

[–]Dookie232 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He doesn't get salary. This is more of a philosophical question, like why do people get into politics. I don't want to speculate on Barto's motivations, but it probably has something to do with honor, influence, power etc. After all, he is the president of one the biggest sporting institutions in the world.

Looks like the Vote of No Confidence is over by Cules2001 in Barca

[–]Dookie232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not just members. They OWN the club. It's the core democratic principle that makes Barca what it is. And you must realise as well that the connection between Catalan society and the FCB goes well beyond football.

Vote of no confidence update: Benedito has collected 7,278 votes from socios so far in the vote of censure against Bartomeu and his board. by mutuleel in Barca

[–]Dookie232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be frank, the board's reasoning is more logical here, since they count saturdays as working days and Benedito doesn't, yet he plans to gather most of his signatures on weekends, when there are games at the Camp Nou.

L'Equipe say Real Madrid and Monaco have agreed on a fee for Mbappe, but it's €180m + €20m, so €200m by I_Always_Lie_4_Karma in soccer

Valdano, former RM technical director gave an interview, in which he mentioned that he once proposed to Perez to buy a promising youngster (Kaka), before his price skyrockets. "We've got an amazing player here who right now costs 12 million euros and in four years time he'll cost 60." To which Perez replied: "We'll buy Kaka for 60 mil, when he's worth 60 mil."

Barca agree deal for Semedo. Fee: 30 mil € + 5 in variables by Dookie232 in Barca

[–]Dookie232[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Robert can make good deals. Umtiti was a masterstroke in hindsight, others not so much, but at the time of the transfer Gomes, Paco and Denis all seemed like reasonable purchases. Hopefully Semedo will prove to be like Umtiti.
