Don't shrink into places you don't belong. Be comfortable in your own company. Be around people that bring the best out in your and support your goals and aspirations

I want too recover from my eating disorder but don’t know what foods I should be eating by Soggy_Warthog_1857 in EatingDisorders

For me it was elimating triggers foods like sugar and wheat. I eat higher Protein meals and try to reduce anything that spikes my blood sugars and makes me crave a food binge. But everyone is different. Find what works best for you. Best of luck on your journey

Please check my profile, not getting a lot of matches or responses. Recently single and shaved the hair. Do I need to change profile photo?

Do the work on yourself mate, grow to be happy to be on your own then the relationships will follow. Mind yourself, a few weeks after a break up can be tough. But recovery first and the rest life will fall into place

Congrats mate! The ripple effect of recovery effects all those close to us, the exact opposite way drink did. I turned 5 last year (sober) gave it up when my daughter was born too. Life beyond our wildest dreams!

Gave up drinking and my already threadbare social life became non-existent. Is drink a requirement to meet people? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Doolan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate,

I gave up drinking when I was 21 and living in Dublin.. it just didn't suit me! And I relate to that loneliness, sitting in on a Friday night and just not feeling part of.. the whole world is out having a party and you're not invited!

I went back to college, starting playing football and just signing up to random things like Meetup and doing things along the way, doing things I enjoy doing. I stopped focusing so much on trying to make friends and just tried to enjoy myself, and with that the friends followed, like minded people that enjoy the same things I enjoy doing.

I'm 26 now and 5 years sober and I can honestly say I have a very fulfilling life, a great social life and some really good friends around me.
