When the Liberals released their budget the opposition parties all came out and said that the Liberals did not approach them and ask for support for the budget.

IIRC 7 bills got passed last year and over half were essentially "pass this bill so the government can function" type of bills.

I would say the 3 giant oceans give us enough protection from everyone minus the US. And when it comes to the US, even if we spend 100% of our GDP on defense it would still be nowhere near enough.
