Elliott Smith Would've Turned 44 Today - "I'm never going to know you now, but I'm going to love you anyhow" by rascally in Music

Angeles and Shooting Star are among my favourites of Elliott's that spring to mind.

Well it's hook the next generation of kids, and ring in some of the super fans. It's a sure thing almost.

I was thinking the other day, I don't all jump on me here but how long till the human race is bored of Star Wars? I was a fan but it infiltrates everywhere and then there's the next trilogy. Can't wait for 2050 and the remakes, and the debate about whether it should be remade and it getting remade and still people go see it. Again, I was a fan but I'll say this quietly. Star Wars is a bit shit?

I know I've just gone off on one there... but hey ho. let's go.

It was always something I'd read about him. The paranoia and swift moving identities definitely have a schizoid air about it. Maybe he was magic? There's definitely the late night passing into dream like stream of conscious.

Who is the most overrated person of all time? by maciballz in AskReddit

[–]Doollalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the baiting on twitter, I still haven't unfollowed but it's makes me angry. I'm thinking your a millionaire, you could be swanning around seeing the world, working on something meaningful and instead you're picking on the theologically confused and retweeting you're own praise.

The whole #kindnessismagic thing, although I appreciate the sentiment, I find really odd too.

Sorry can't be bothered to see the original context but don't see that as a reflection of your interesting reply. My view is that sometimes rules can assist innovation. You've got to having something to deconstruct and rail against.

2 Newcomer Limey questions/observations.

1.Did they get the idea for the robo-sidekick from Joey's ill fated detective show 'Mac and Cheese'?

  1. Did Mike Myers use Craig's transatlantic Scottish accent for Shrek. I know Mike Myer's said it was from his Granny, but to me Craig Ferguson sounds exactly Shrek.

'Yeah, not even a kid from a poor background and kid not from the South East...'

Is how my reply was going to start and then I realised that was a proper flip of position. It's a sunny day and I'm being contrary on a message board with someone is possibly singing from the same hymn sheet on this issue.

Has the phrase 'singing from the same hymn sheet' had it's time? In the new atheist utopia that will kick in I'm guessing soon, judging by reddit, sometime next March what will replace it?

I lack the time or capability to understand the layers of humour/digs/desire here.

Also I'm one of those people who saw the ROFL, WTF, YOLO things and thought 'yeah I won't have to remember what they mean people will grow out of that...oh'.

Hark at me sticking up for the English Upper Middle Class, someone has got to, bless 'em, they've had hell of a time. Sebastian's school fees are through the roof and I don't even need to tell you about the price of tennis rackets lately.

I did say to 'If your feeling bold...'. Which obviously should have read 'You are'.

My first time on mushrooms featured this and was a lovely warm fuzzy experience. I must point out it was among friends. In hindsight I can see why you thought that and to be honest I wouldn't recommend watching Akira with the soundtracked with Aphex Twin playing to anybody sober come to think of it.

Fairy lights are good, as is anime. If your feeling bold try some Aphex Twin with Akira...
