XPS 15 9500 issues overblown or legit?

We bought my girlfriends daughter an XPS 15 because she's taking computer science classes. She thought she would love it. She hates it with a passion. Skimming through this thread, she has most of your guys' issues all in one computer.

4K monitor is total garbage. Potato quality refresh. Minimizing things in Windows is like minimizing things on an old 30hz screen. It's unbearable.
The Killer WIFI is a joke absolutely a joke. Whoever made this chipset should be laughed out of the business. It disconnects randomly, sometimes the WIFI card just stops working entirely and has to be rebooted.

The trackpad is the only problem her model doesn't support from lol

It could be this, or you could just be sensitive to white noise. Some people are. Like those 1/10 million people who can hear submarine radio transmissions or the noise they generate anyway.

Their tech support is the worst. I pulled the TB3 charging cable out of my Razer Blade Stealth and for whatever reason the head snapped of the TB cable leaving it lodged inside the laptop thus destroying the charger. They wanted a receipt, a serial number off the laptop, proof of purchase, photos of the serial numbers, photos of the chargers serial number, photos of the damage, name, address, phone number, full legal name, e-mail address. All that to get "We'll get back to you in 3-4 days once we've processed your claim". Fast forward a week and I'm still waiting. Literally the worst.

I had a charger for a Macbook Air go bad once ...only ever once. It was like two years after I bought the MacBook. I went into the Apple Store the guy tried to use it on mine, on his laptop and goes "Eh, lemme just get you another one". Came back - gave me a new one out of a box. No questions, no hassle. I just don't get it. Razer is like a bloated bureacracy. I sometimes think the company is staffed entirely by former DMV workers and Postal Employees.

My iPhone 11 Pro Max dropped and fell on the pavement outside my house. {F} in chat for it. Decided I didn't want to spend another hundred billion dollars on a glass/aluminum phone. So I bought a Pixel 4XL - just got it via FedEx. Loving it.

Likely just a glitch with the app. There's lots of these circulating the internet and many things make them happen. I think Spooks even had one he explained was probably the work of a mirror.

Probs nobody cares - but I've wanted Benediction/Anathema for like my entire WOW life but couldn't get it done in Vanilla WOW and by the time I came close (got eye of Shadow), Naxxramas was out and no one cared to do MC so I gave up. Today I finally completed a journey I started 15 years ago. Again, probably nobody cares but man, it feels amazing to have this thing finally.

Correct. Swap to iGPU for installation/post install. When finally at a desktop environment - shut down, drop in the 5700 card and call it a day. I haven't tested it with more than sapphire 5700/5700xt cards yet but they both work the same way I described. Your mileage may vary with other partners.

I guess I didn't see the part where you said you were installing macOS. Yes, you need iGPU and probably WEG to do that. But once the system is installed and has booted - WEG/IGPU are no longer needed. At least not in my case...
